Carley Reed didn't have an easy childhood, but now, as a settled adult living in San Francisco, she has managed to make a peaceful life for herself. Everything turns upside down, though, one morning when a private investigator finds her and informs her that she has inherited her grandmother's house in a small town in Mississippi.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
I would recommend the written book, but not the audiobook. After struggling through about 3 chapters, I gave up on the narrator and bought the Kindle book so that I could finish the story. I just couldn't handle the stilted style of reading. The narrator handles different accents fairly well, but did not do a good job of the narrative parts...very choppy, slow and irritating. Did not flow at all. What did you like best about this story?
The characters were interesting enough for me to want to find out how the story continued and ended.Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Andrea Gallo?
I've enjoyed the following female narrators:Kirsten Potter
Christina Moore
Cynthia Darlow
Did A Table by the Window inspire you to do anything?

What would have made A Table by the Window better?
A storyline that doesn't take 14 hours to materialize! There was so much information in this book that didn't need to be written, conversations that didn't need to happen, characters that didn't need to be introduced. My guess is that there is somewhere near 30+ named characters that are described in detail and play little to no immediate part in the plot. Oh, by the way... I don't believe that the plot will ever come together into a cohesive story. What was most disappointing about Lawana Blackwell’s story?
I'm about 10 hours into the story and it still hasn't evolved. There are way to many characters that have no impact to the plot (which by the way has not been obtained...yet!).Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Andrea Gallo?
There wouldn't be a narrator in the world that could make this a better story. But I would suggest that any narrator that does southern accents try not to make every southerner sound like they are idiots. Sorry Andrea Gallo. If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from A Table by the Window?
Hours two through twelve. There is no easy way to say how bad this book was. I keep listening in hopes that it MAY get better. I've given up at chapter 26.Any additional comments?
I will rarely write reviews but I intentionally sat down tonight to write this. I don't want anyone else to listen to such a bad book. Please save your money. There are many other authors that do a much better job of writing Christian based books like: Francine Rivers, Kim Sawyer and Lynn Austin.Oh no, no, no!
