Publisher's summary

If you like watching Hallmark's Christmas movies, then you'll love listening to A Thrill of Hope.

Holly Kidman is determined to be the best movie producer California has ever seen...until her mother’s broken leg ruins Holly’s plans and she must return home for the holidays. During her stay in her home town of Timberland, Montana, fate throws her with a man she’d rather not be around. And yet, once she can get past old grudges, she realizes the charming man and his large ranch inspire her more than she thought possible. Dare she hope for her dream come true?

Rafe Montgomery is pleasantly surprised when Holly suddenly returns to town. Still haunted by the one, less-than-eloquent kiss they’d shared years ago, he’s disappointed by the haughty attitude she’s come back with. His hope is to change the stubborn and unforgiving woman he’s slowly having feelings for and to show her what Christmas is all about.

Christmas spirit

Charming small town romance. Holly finding herself, Rafe finds true love. Together they find the true spirit of Christmas.
They fell in love, but Holly wants to live in California , Rafe wants to stay on the ranch in Montana. It's when they both figure out separately what is the most important in life to be happy. A sweet romance that is not without it's danger, secrets, lies. I enjoyed listening to this story narrated by Sally Barton. Each cha had their own and personality. Well done

A Thrill of Hope

I must agree if you love Hallmark Christmas movies you enjoy this book. I like the plot and the drama. Love that her mom was so into Christmas that she named her girls after it. I however was confused at why she was so obsessed with the holiday other than her love for the Christmas play. I was also not sure how someone that is religious and respects the Christmas play, the birth of Jesus, stopped celebrating. I would have understand if it was more of a commercial Christmas her mom forced on her. Her movie idea was just fantastic telling the story in a new light and the perfect setting.
The back drama, or sabotage of the play was a nuisance more than something I focused on in the story.
I thought that her friend showed her the light and that the book would have a better ending. But instead you got a true hallmark ending.
The book was a good listen the narration was very nice, bringing this tale to life. I have not been in the holiday spirit this year and this book put a new prospective on it for me. So thank you!

awkward take 2

Holly and Rafe have been in more than more awkward situation together. I liked both of the characters and liked their love story except I did not like that he kissed Holly while having a girlfriend. The first time I understand but the second time - uh no. Things did work out for them and his then girlfriend but. Really like how they worked together to bring the play to the town even when facing so many obstacles. The narrator did a really good job and I enjoyed listening to this book.

Sweet Romance

I enjoyed this sweet Christmas small town contemporary romance. Holly was living in California pursuing her life dream of being a movie producer. She returns home to care for her mom and repeats the surprise kiss with Rafe that happened fourteen years ago. Holly got to know Rafer as an adult now. Sally Barron did a great job with the narration.
