Publisher's summary

A trained assassin…a man even the deadliest of warriors fear. To cross him is foolish. To steal his heart is pure madness.

Sachin, head advisor to the king of the Accipitridae realm, has been forced to put his trips to Earth on hold. He’s not been honest with himself or King Kabril about his need to visit the primitive planet. The king thinks him to be a womanizer, out to bed as many human females as possible.

In truth, a woman he should have been able to woo with little to no effort - his mate - has found someone else to fill that void in her life. She wasn’t supposed to be on Earth. She wasn’t supposed to be human. And she sure the hell wasn’t supposed to agree to marry another man while Sachin was away.

Sachin must make a choice, give up the one woman he knows to be his true mate and let her live in ignorant bliss of what walks among her people, or fight for what’s his, taking it at all costs. A trained assassin…a man even the deadliest of warriors fear. To cross him is foolish. To steal his heart is pure madness.

Loved it

This is Book 2 in the series it is a standalone book with a wonderfully awesome HEA. I am looking forward to the next book in the series. I recommend this book to All shifter lovers. The narrator’s do a wonderful job of bringing the characters to life.

stubborn man

he saved her life, in return he saved his future, can he handle his earthwoman? Their story is not an easy one but their love is strong enough to make it all go away

Love it

Great follow up to the first book, great character development, and plot. mandy Roth does it again with a great paranormal romance. Wish it was longer but want a wonderful story and made for a fun night. I can't wait to hear the rest of them

LOVED!

Loved! This is the second in the King of Prey series and it did not disappoint. Sachin has been ordered by Rayna to take a vacation to Earth. Oh boy! What Rayna doesn't know is that years before Rayna and Kabril were mated he saved a young woman's life and fell in love with her. Paige is in love with the man who saved her, the man who pops in and out of her life but always shows up when she "calls". After she loses her virginity to Sachin, he disappears and after months of crying she moves on with her life. A year later Sachin returns, oh at the fireworks! Paige has agreed to marry another and now Sachin has to win her back. I loved the interaction between them and their journey to a HEA.

Same as written

I have read this a couple of times and enjoyed listening to it as a bedtime story.

What would you do if you knew she was your soul-mate but she was not only younger than you but too young?

Could you befriend her and wait for her to grow up?

In this winged shifters world humans weren't their fated mates and he believed it, until he rescued her. Now what?

It is short but satisfying read as with all Mandy Roth books.

Jerk hero & spineless heroine

Would you try another book from Mandy M. Roth and/or Mason Lloyd?

Yes, she is normally a decent writer.

Has A View to a Kill turned you off from other books in this genre?

no- I've read other books that were well-written

Which scene was your favorite?

The last one, it meant it was over

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from A View to a Kill?

Wow- a total rewrite was needed

Any additional comments?

This was a short story, very hastily & poorly written. No character development beyond figuring out that the hero is a complete self-centered jerk & the heroine is spineless. No real story here. SPOILERS: Hero beds heroine (after she begs him), abandons her, is mad when he comes back a year later & she has someone else. She almost immediately forgives him & cheats on her very nice fiancee with this jerk. Gah! This was awful.
