In a world with no law, there is little hope for survival
It’s been a little over two years since Judas infected the world. Mankind was no match for a virus with a stronger will to survive.
The sick wander aimlessly, with a hunger that is never satisfied. The only hope for humanity lies within the immune. A group of survivors set out to rebuild in spite of the apocalypse, but they are faced with the reality that man is the most dangerous threat when they are no rules.
The immune survived Judas, but can they survive a violent world?

The pros I would like to start off with is the momentum was picked back up in this book. I started to get that wave of emotion that I had in book one. I enjoyed that human conflict was important to survival as well as the infected evolving to look like they weren’t infected. The revealing of Maestro was a cool tie in with Melanie. The epilogue gave hope that the series wasn’t coming to an end and made me interested in what’s going to find out if another book was to be released. Melanie naming the farm Winston was a great touch for the fans who wanted Winston to live.
Cons I would start with is the telepathy I still don’t see why it was created maybe to communicate with the infected and control them end the end. I’m sure that an infected talked in the end and that is why I don’t think it was needed to add the telepathy. I wish we knew how Maestro found Melanie, it just seemed pretty far-fetched that Melanie was held up on a farm no one knew about and Maestro just happens to be in the neighborhood. I also wish we had a little more time on the farm we learned of it and the folks who were let in then that was it a new setting.
I received this book via Promo and I really enjoyed the series, If I had to listen to them again, I would only listen to the first and third book. I didn’t take a liking to the Narrator, usually they just grow on me, but he didn’t put me off to the point of not wanting to listen. The series ended with a twist and an expectation that Mitch and Maestro had a lot in plan. If another book is released, I’m looking forward to listening to it.
This book didn't disappoint
