About this listen

"James died in Papa's arms." (Penelope de Wolfe from Serpent)

Get ready for perhaps the greatest de Wolfe adventure yet....

The sons of William de Wolfe (The Wolfe) are immortal, so they say. Men who are known as ShadowWolfe...DarkWolfe...Nighthawk...are as legendary as their father. The eldest four sons - Scott, Troy, Patrick, and James - have always run in a pack. They are all to each other, in both brotherhood and in strength. But in AD 1282, James de Wolfe, the endearing and gentle brother, is killed in Wales as the Welsh rebel against Henry III...or was he?

Five years later, tales of a Welsh warrior known as Blaidd Cryf, or Blayth the Strong, are making way to English ears along the Welsh Marches. It's AD 1286, and a Welsh warrior who can somehow read the minds of the English armies is rising to power among the last princes of Wales. With Blayth leading the Welsh armies, the English are being handed defeat after defeat. No one knows who Blayth is or where he's come from, but the English warlords are coming to realize they will lose Wales if Blayth and his brilliant tactics aren't stopped.

Some even believe Blayth (the phonetic pronunciation for Blaidd, meaning wolf in Welsh) may be the most deadly warrior Wales - and England - has ever seen.

Helping Blayth in stirring the rebellion is the great-granddaughter of the last king of Deheubarth. Called the "Dragon Princess" by the Welsh, Asmara ap Cader is a fierce warrior in her own right. She fights in the rebellion and is deadly in her aim, and even as Blayth leads the Welsh, he cannot help but be attracted to the lovely Dragon Princess who fights so brilliantly beside him.

As the romance between Blayth and Asmara begins to blossom, rumors come from Wales that Blayth the Strong is none other than James de Wolfe. When William catches wind of this, he will stop at nothing to discover the truth to these rumors, including risking his very life to discover if his son has indeed risen from the dead. It’s all hands on deck as the House of de Wolfe returns to Wales to discover if the son they believed dead is indeed the man now raising an army against the English.

Discover the epic adventure of A Wolfe Among Dragons, a complex tale of mystery, of hope, and most of all, of romance and redemption. When a dead son returns, it can be the greatest of joys and the deepest of tragedies. A Wolfe Among Dragons is truly a story for the ages.

Powerful

This story came to life for me! The narrator brought each character to a place where you could not help, but take notice. This story tears at your heart from the battlefield and then you are kidnapped into the intrigue of the Welsh and English politics, while a beautiful romance forms among all of this. In addition, witnessing the despair of family and friends who have experienced a loss all too deep cements your hope in miracles.

Brilliantly written and wonderfully narrated! I highly recommend!

Heart rending but oh so good! 😢

OMG! Brad Wells kills this narration. The voices, the emotion! He portrayed these characters with such finesse. I had read the book when it was first released and anxiously awaited to listen to Brad's rendition. He did not disappoint. And even though I knew what was coming he made it vibrant and fresh. Please take the time to purchase and listen to this book. You won't be disappointed. Warning have Kleenex handy!

OMG, so good I cried !!!

I loved reading the book, but to me there is nothing like listening to the audiobook! I had no idea Brad Wills had such a beautiful, perfect voice. It was worth the purchase just to hear him sing the song written by Kathryn LeVeque. Kathryn's characters in her books always wiggle their way into my heart, but I must give major kudos to Brad for being able to hold it together for a stunning performance while I was sitting here crying my eyes out. That had to have been difficult. What a pro! Thanks to you both for a magnificent story and performance! It's always had to face time marching on, but y'all did it magnificently. 5 Stars to you both! This is a must listen to audiobook, trust me.

Wonderful, Fantastic!

I only wish I could give this one ten stars! Brad Wills is a master of narrators! I loved the song he sang in this one. As a matter a fact, I listened to him sing it several times. Just get your tissues ready. Joyful ones and sad one. I had to get the paper towels out to take care of my tears and snot. It was so lovely to get James back from the dead. ( For the ones that don’t know, everyone thought James had died in battle). Another great story Kathryn!! Thanks!!

Really wonderful as only Kathryn Le Veque can do

I was told in the beginning to have a tissue ready but I should have been warned to have a box of tissues on hand. Cried happy tears, sad tears and just emotional tears. Great read so if you purchase it enjoy as much as I did.

Just Simply a wonderful and touching book. I did cry.

I love everything about her books and the narration only Brad Wills can bring her books alive. But, this book was so touching and I cried not once but several times. Do not miss this book. I guarantee you you won’t regret it at all. This is one of my favorites now of hers.

Get Out Your Tissues (based on Audible version)

All of Kathryn Le Veque's novels are intense, but A WOLFE AMONG DRAGONS is super emotional. From the very beginning, it grabs your attention and holds it. With the death scene on the field of defeat in a battle, being so full of heartbreak and sorrow, to the very end, it is full of great emotion. The story of James De Wolfe, William and Jordan's youngest son, gives us an outline of a young knight's training and growth. Then the real story begins. This is a book that deserves a permanent home on your bookshelf. It will be one you will want to read over and over. it is truly a masterpiece!
