Publisher's summary

After discovering two aliens trying to milk a cow in his grandfather's barn, 14-year-old Luke Summers is abducted. Scared out of his wits, he soon discovers that the aliens, Simon and Leonidas, aren't planning to probe him...huge relief.

Instead, after injecting Luke with nano-translators so he can understand them, they tell him that his parents, both astronauts who were pronounced dead during a failed mission to Mars, are still alive...and they need his help to rescue them from an evil spider-alien dictator named Drac Moor.

There's just one itsy-bitsy catch. Luke will first need to be "reconditioned" so that he can withstand the harsh alien atmospheres that he'll be subjected to. Oh...and it's probably going to hurt a little.

Follow along as Luke stumbles through one disaster after another, in an attempt to pull off a daring prison break and free his parents before it's too late.

Abducted

This was a fun book. Our main character runs into aliens milking his cow and finds out that his long dead parents were really abducted and not dead. This leads to a search and maybe even a rescue if everything can come together. We learn where some earth customs came from, and wish they'd have kept them.We see friendships form and end abruptly.Braden Wright is a very good narrator.I was goven this book free from the author, narrator or publisher.

A Young Adult or "Junior" level Halloween Story..

Any additional comments?

** A Few Spoilers **

Luke, the male lead, hears strange noises outside one night so he goes out to investigate.

He ends up seeing two aliens near his cow.

Luke blacks out and wakes to find that he is apart some "alien mission".

He wants no part of the mission, that is.. until the aliens make him an offer that he can't

refuse.

There are several obstacles that Luke has to overcome.

This book was interesting and suspenseful read which made it an overall good find.

I also think its a worth adding to a Halloween Selection of Reads.

I can't wait for books Two and Three to be released on Audible.com!

Braden Wright did really well with the narration and I look forward to more books narrated
by him..

Great book for a road trip with kids

Any additional comments?

Well written, cute, fun, humorous, entertaining and very enjoyable listen. Listened to this on a road trip with my grandchildren. They loved it and so did I.

The story grabs your attention from the beginning and the adventure just gets better from there.

When Luke Summer's hears a noise in his grandfather's barn and goes to investigate he gets the surprise of his life. Aliens. When he's abducted by these aliens he discovers his parents are still alive. They were actually there to get him and take him to his parents.

Braden Wright does a fantastic job with the narration. Great voice easy to listen to for hours. Great character voices. He was able to convey all the humor and sarcasm through his narration. He brought the story and characters to life. All around enjoyable listen.

Hopefully the rest of the series will eventually be available on audible and have Braden Wright as the narrator.

fun story

I enjoyed listening to this book about a boy who gets abducted and he goes on the adventure of his life across the galaxy. Entertaining and funny, some of the internal thoughts of the boy in certain situations are hilarious. Glad it had a happy ending, but I thought it would have been fun if he got to keep his memories after being brought back to Earth. Fun for the whole family.
Mr. Wright did an awesome job on giving the many characters a distinct voice especially the aliens, He creates magic with his voice, listening to it, I get so involved with the story that I forget time.

Kids friendly alien story

What did you love best about Abducted: Escape from Kraile?

I am always looking for a book I can recommend to my son(14). This book has a lot he might like, fast passe adventure with humor.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

I enjoyed it a lot. I like that the boy acts his age( maybe a bit clever for his age), but no supper hero.

Have you listened to any of Braden Wright’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

My first. He is very good. Did the aliens very well.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

"Swapping milk for my freedom"

Any additional comments?

I will listen to the next book. "This audiobook was provided by the author, narrator, or publisher at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review."

Had me and my kids hooked from the very beginning!

This was a delightful book that took me completely by surprise. For some reason I wasn’t expecting to love it as much as I did. My kids and I thoroughly enjoyed the story and were engaged right from the very start. Luke’s experiences in space are full of action, danger and mystery as he goes on a (sometimes crazy) quest to save his parents from a deadly race of aliens. I loved all of the fun references to alien conspiracy theories (yep, this book confirms that aliens helped build the pyramids. Who knew?), and it was truly interesting to see what the aliens thought about humans and human emotions. One small detail that didn’t make sense to me: the aliens seemed to be incredibly impressed by the fact that humans are willing to put themselves in danger for others, but the aliens themselves were doing that for Luke and his family. (I guess the argument could be made that they were doing that out of duty rather than sacrifice, but it didn’t seem completely that way.) I did enjoy how Simon and Leonidas seemed very logical at first but as Luke got to know them you totally saw their soft sides.

Narration: I’m hoping the audiobooks for the next two books in the series come out soon because we really enjoyed listening to these—my kids especially loved that the narrator gave the aliens interesting voices. They were bummed to hear that we might have to actually read the next two if we want to get to them soon. Braden Wright is an excellent narrator, though it took me a little while to get used to his deeper, more serious voice right after listening to Momotaro, where the full narration was in more of a kid’s voice. (Wright did a great job with Luke’s fourteen-year-old voice in the dialogue, but he didn’t sound kiddish for the whole narration—which was totally fine, just different.) And, like I mentioned before, Wright did a fantastic job with all of the different alien character voices.

I highly recommend this book if you’re looking for something fun to read or listen to with younger YA readers (or MG, though there is a bit of violence in parts—nothing too horrible). This one gets 4/5 Stars.

A good space adventure for tweens.

"This audiobook was provided by the author, narrator, or publisher at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review courtesy of Audiobook Blast."

I class this book in the pre-teen range (tween). I would have loved to have this kind of book when I was at that age. Great narration and the different voicing of each character was nicely performed. Luke's adventure has a bit of everything, even humour is blended in well. The trials that young Luke has to surmount to save his parents and the rest of the Mars mission team are interesting enough to captivate a young reader, and many chapters have strong enough tension to have you cheer for him. Personally I loved the spider-like aliens, they gave me chills.

Alien abduction! Roswell revealed! And more!

Well written story for the young and the young at heart. My boys and I all enjoyed it immensely. Can't wait for the rest. The hero of the story is easy to like and relate with. The companions and enemies met along the way fulfill
Their roles in the quest perfectly. The imagery is well and easily presented. Great narration and delivery. I look forward to more by both the author and the narrator. I received this audiobook from the author narrator or publisher for free via audiobookboom in exchange for an unbiased review
