I immediately fell for Ace, the main male character, and he kept me through the whole book! The only annoying part was all the hashtags throughout the book.

Audra Cook did a good job with narration; she has the voice for different parts.

Ace in the Hole (City Meets Country #4) by Mysti Parker and M.J. Post was a great read. Ace Montgomery left his job in law enforcement and now does private security. Sailor has hired Ace as a bouncer in her bar. The Hole has a reputation of being a place that draws troublemakers. I loved reading Ace and Sailor's story. I can't wait to read more by Mysti Parker and M.J. Post.

All the books I've read in this series have one thing in common, great characters and great chemistry between the lead female and lead male characters.

Sailor is probably my least favorite lead female in this series, I found her reactions a bit over the top at times, but I have seem people react more extremely in less extreme situations so it's not over dramatized, it's just not within my normal.

The narration is well done again, the delivery is smooth and flowing and the character voices are clear and distinct.

In this book sparks fly between ACE and Sailor, I loved the way that they interact. The tension between them builds naturally over the course of the book and I didn't want to stop listening.

For the most part, this was a good book. Nice story, good characters and good narration too. My biggest problem with this book was all the "hashtag" this and "hashtag" that. It didn't fit in with the story and I found it to be annoying and distracting. I was voluntarily provided this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator.

This series is a lot of fun to listen to, but I did find this story to have a little more meat to it. After the death of her parents and sorting out their estate, Sailor takes her money and is trying to make her bar a success. With constant security issues, she takes the advice of her friend and brings in an outside consultant, Ace. Ace is a former police officer, good at his job but has some of his own issues. Ace is a protective man, and is instantly attracted to his new boss and Sailor is finding it hard to resist him. But with the danger lurking, business has to come first! I really enjoyed the melding of these two. Their passion was high, and the caring way Sailor responds to Ace's scars and situation is one with compassion. I also loved the way this was solution to Sailor's problem was not cut and dry. It took some research and unexpected help to get her the answers necessary to have things accomplished. Mysti Parker and MJ Post write their novellas with complexity and well developed characters and it makes the listen very satisfying.

Audra Cook is amazing as always. I really enjoy her narrations. She is well paced and gives the necessary inflections in this listen of passion, fear, frustration and love perfectly.

I really loved these characters! Out of all the books I have read in the series, I enjoyed this story the most. the characters were well developed and so was the story. there's not too much more I can say without giving away spoilers lol. I highly recommend this book.

Ace Montgomery quit his job as a LEO after one too many injuries on the job. Now Ace owns his security company and has accepted a job to analyze and secure a NYC bar that seems to have run into a rash of recent problems. Sailor has inherited the bar from her no-good, sleazy business man father upon his death and is burning through her money trying to run the place. Recently they have had a series of incidents that seem to be staged...bar fights, etc...that may be geared to running Sailor out of business. In rides Ace to the rescue...literally...on his bike. As Ace begins his investigation, he fights the growing attraction to Sailor and vice versa. Will they be able to work together to uncover who is behind trying to put Sailor out of business while fighting the chemistry between them? This was a quick read/listen with some steamy moments but lots of 'bad guy' action as well. Love the series!

It always amazes me how you can receive a personal insight or life lesson from just about anywhere - if you’re paying attention. And yes, I got one of those insights from this book. Total surprise, but welcome.
Having said that, I generally don’t advertise my personal business to the world, so I get annoyed with hash tag comments and superficiality. Those were the parts that didn’t do it for me.
The book description in Audible is detailed enough for you to decide if you’re interested in it, but I’m happy to recommend this book for a young, modern, urban woman time out.
Cook did a good job with narration. She’s got a good young adult woman voice, but not cutesy.

I so enjoyed this book by Mysti Parker and MJ Post. The City meets country series is fun, short and hot. Opposite characters that have a connection are a favorite storyline of mine. I loved how the authors added in some humor to this story, along with having great imagery. Audra Cook performed this book flawlessly. I love the emotions she adds to her narration. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review. I will definitely listen to more books by these authors and this narrator. This is the third book in the series that I have listened to, and my favorite of them to date.

This is a great audio series. Have listened to the three that are out . Book 4/and the end of the series. .
This story has lots of heat , layers and action. It will have you glued from the begging till the end .

Hero is Ace. Heroine is Sailor .

What does Sailor need to do to keep her bar save. That when Ace steps in. He becomes security for the bar.
The chemistry between Sailor and Ace is instant hotness , they are attracted to each other . What will Ace do. . Ace was planning on leaving but now with Sailor in the picture.
Sailor sees Ace as more than a saviour for the bar .
Grab it and see the chemistry but also a great story

The narrator is great . Her voice is clear , storing and the characters were brought to the front
