James Hart is a twenty eight year old outstanding citizen of Los Angeles, California. He loves the law and became a detective to help uphold it. Working as a private detective, James and his team investigate cold cases. Bringing the truth to light and criminals to justice are part of his job, but the one case the detective hasn't been able to solve is the one that matters to him most. When his twin sister is mysteriously murdered, James struggles to unravel the details of what led to her untimely death. All the while, he struggles to find balance when his wife files for divorce. His life becomes even more unpredictable as he begins to develop romantic feelings for his work partner, Melanie Sims, which are further complicated by him being on the asexual spectrum. Melanie was recently abandoned by her husband and has grown closer to James however, she does not fully understand his sexuality. Just when he thinks things couldn't get more complex, James begins to get routine visits from the one person he never expected.

My attention was captured immediately. The author does a great job setting the scene and getting you involved from the very begging. Also what a handsome voice that was chosen to read the book.

So excited!! I absolutely love this author- I’ve read the whole Ace of Hearts series in book form and just now saw they are coming out on audible. I cannot wait to dive into this book and hear the characters come to life. A friend has already begun the book and said the main character sounds exactly as he did her her head while she read so I’m really looking forward to this. The story is such a page-turner, and truly kept me guessing the whole way thru. Give this series a try- you won’t regret it!

Great story,The narrator’s voice is sexy and keeps me listening. I love that this story educates on the LGBTQIA + community and life style. The characters in this story are very entertaining. I look forward to the next 3 books dropping soon!

Really good story line! Always appreciate it when I can’t predict what’s going to happen next. I also love that the narrator actually has a great voice. A lot of books have really monotone narrators, so that’s definitely a plus.
