About this listen

Tiffany, Tyrisha, and Mezzie all have one thing in common: putting up with men who don't deserve them.

Tiffany decides enough is enough and flees to Miami to start a new life with her daughter. While she thought she was escaping her problems back in New York, she's faced with a whole new set of problems waiting for her in sunny Miami. The palm trees aren't the only thing that's shady.

Mezzie thinks being the side chick is having it all. She has the house, money, and her meal ticket—her son—for the next eighteen years. She soon realizes that being second doesn't compare to being number one in her man's life.

Tyrisha loves her man. There's only one problem: Tone loves himself and isn't faithful to her. When she meets Moses, she falls head over heels in love with him. Although he isn't the best man for Tyrisha, he isn't going to let her leave easily—especially because Moses happens to be Tone's connect.

While demanding what they're worth, they all end up in a web of deceit, drama, and betrayal.

This audiobook contains highly sensitive and mature subject matter including depictions of torture. Listener discretion is advised.

All over the place

Let me just start by saying I love Jahquel J, but this book was all over the place making it feel rushed and kind of hard to follow. Katherine and Myles did a great job though.

My brain can’t stop processing the want for more!! In the beginning I thought this book was slow moving but as it continued, it became a great story and the line read to an interesting plot!! I need more of this book to soothe my soul!!

This book made my head hurt/ all over the place

This book was all over the place. The female narrator sometimes sounded like a male when she was supposed to sound like a woman. It kept jumping from different scenes that made it hard to keep up. It was a lot of unnecessary stuff that didn’t belong. It would have been good if the author took out the time not make the story be all over the place.

The narrator was awful

I couldn't get past the narrator's loud overly excited voice. Unfortunately, I couldn't finish it.
