About this listen

Tiffany, Tyrisha, and Mezzie all have one thing in common: putting up with men who don't deserve them.

Tiffany decides enough is enough and flees to Miami to start a new life with her daughter. While she thought she was escaping her problems back in New York, she's faced with a whole new set of problems waiting for her in sunny Miami. The palm trees aren't the only thing that's shady.

Mezzie thinks being the side chick is having it all. She has the house, money, and her meal ticket—her son—for the next eighteen years. She soon realizes that being second doesn't compare to being number one in her man's life.

Tyrisha loves her man. There's only one problem: Tone loves himself and isn't faithful to her. When she meets Moses, she falls head over heels in love with him. Although he isn't the best man for Tyrisha, he isn't going to let her leave easily—especially because Moses happens to be Tone's connect.

While demanding what they're worth, they all end up in a web of deceit, drama, and betrayal.

This audiobook contains highly sensitive and mature subject matter including depictions of torture. Listener discretion is advised.

This was such a hard read

The storyline was all over the place, and I just couldn’t connect with this book.

Lace

This book was good. I was confused at first why Tyrisha couldn't be loyal because Moses was a good man. She kept wanting to run to men that gave her a little bit of attention instead of staying where she belong. She learned a lesson. That man Lace was funny as hell and crazy as hell but once again he was a good man too.

All over the place

Let me just start by saying I love Jahquel J, but this book was all over the place making it feel rushed and kind of hard to follow. Katherine and Myles did a great job though.

What a book!!!

The narrators took some getting used to but overall I enjoyed the stories. It’s crazy how everyone is connected lol A LOT of mouth dropping moments. Worth a read, you won’t be disappointed.

trash

I disliked this so much that I have no desire to get part 2. The story was all over the place. The plot changed a million times. New and old characters changed so much that I got whiplash. I couldn't tell you who the main character was and who was the supporting character because that constantly changed too.

Good book

Wasn’t gonna take a listen because of people saying it was hard to follow so I made sure from the beginning I was following it turned out to be a good book I was in the edge the whole time. The lady I usually like her narration not so much this time but I do recommend a listen

Chile I’m tired

This story was all over the place. I mean what was the storyline? I love a good romance novel and this wasn’t it. I guess everything ain’t for everybody. If you like a convoluted hood drama, you’ll love it. If not, save your credit.
