Publisher's summary

In this fairy tale with a sexy twist, she’s a penniless San Francisco seamstress. He’s the king of Italian couture. Who’s got designs on whom?

Boutique owner Kimber DiSanto has seen better days. She’s been dumped at the altar by Prince Charmless, her business went up in flames (literally), and now she’s stuck in Florence, Italy, with an ice-queen stepmother, to try to save her late father’s failing dress shop. Only one thing could make it worse: another man in her life. The arrogant Italian fashion tycoon offering to buy her father’s shop is as rich as he is sexy, and their attraction is off the charts. But Kimber’s not about to get burned again.

Women don’t say no to Matteo Moretti - and certainly not with Kimber’s stinging precision. With all the heat and fury sparking between them, Matteo can’t resist baiting the gorgeous American. His plan? Win her over one scorching kiss at a time.

Kimber tells herself it’s all just a game. That her broken heart isn’t in danger, and that Matteo’s touch does not make her Lady Land dance with joy. But sometimes it takes the fieriest of enemies to turn a fantasy into a real-life romance.

Very good story

This book had just what I needed. The characters were well developed and it took a little turn where I did not see it coming. loved it! Will recommend. loved Mateo's voice from the mail narrator. The female narrator did good with the different accents! Overall, great book.

love..

overall I thought it was pretty good I love the characters I really love the male narrator he did an amazing job definitely going to look out for his name. the only thing I had a problem with this book is that I felt like it constantly repeated itself in all honesty if they would have took out that much repeating it would be about at least an hour to an hour and a half. but I did enjoy the book made me laugh out loud

A Modern Day Take on Cinderella!

Geissinger’s Slow Burn series has been a fantastic series intro as my first reads of her work…I’ve loved every one! Ache for You, the third book, was a phenomenal read with stellar voice performances. I’ve always enjoyed Brian Pallino’s work, but his performance as the Italian hero was swoon worthy!

Largely set in Italy among the couture fashion world, Kimber, a native Italian who’s been raised in San Francisco is a seamstress at the lowest point in her life. She’s pursued by Matteo, THE couture Italian designer, a marquis, with an interesting familial connection to Kimber. Matteo and Kimber’s chemistry is instant, but so many things keep them at odds. But, in spite of it all, they do reach their HEA!

The Cinderella references are hilarious! I loved Kimber’s “step sisters” and laughed out loud as often as I swooned. Ache for You was totally entertaining and the pace was great! You won’t be disappointed.

LOVED IT!!!!

As usual, J.T. Geissinger has done it again. My first introduction to this author was actually with book #1 of this series. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it. It was such a funny, entertaining, intelligent read. Definitely worth it.

Hoping the Slow Burn Continues

Book 3 in this series doesn’t disappoint! I enjoy J.T. Geissinger’s twists and turns; just when you think you’ve got the plot figured out, you get thrown for an enjoyable loop. And can we just all agree that the narration from Mackenzie and Brian (growl) was a magical pairing?

Ache for you - Book 3

JT Geissinger writes a great story. When I started listening I thought, oh no, same old story but how wrong I was! This plot had twists and turns, love and hate. How the power of friendship and true love overcomes any obstacle. And finally, we need to dream big, work hard and never give up. I really enjoyed this book and the narrators were excellent!!!!!!
Thank you!

Slow Burn Italian Romance

Both narrators helped create the world of Florence. And you really have to love the way Brian Pallino spoke Italian. This was a romantic retelling of Cinderella. Except the step-sisters were a little hairy, the step-mother was kinder than most women, and the Prince was actually Kimber's step-brother. Wonderful way to change the story!
