About this listen

Warning: The next attack on American soil will come from within.

From coast to coast, our nation is witnessing a new wave of terror. Suicide bombers incite blind panic and paralyzing fear. A flight attendant tries to crash an airliner. A police officer opens fire on fans in a stadium. And at CIA headquarters, a deputy director goes on a murderous rampage. The perpetrators appear to be American - but they are covert agents in a vast network of terror, selected and trained for one purpose only: the complete annihilation of America.

Special Agent Jericho Quinn has seen the warning signs. As a classified "instrument" of the CIA reporting directly to the president, Quinn knows that these random acts of violence pose a clear and present danger. But Quinn may not be able to stop it. The search for terrorists has escalated into an all-out witch hunt. And somehow, Quinn's name is on the list....

Character Development

I like that the characters are vulnerable to the human condition. Not just superheroes that fly through life unabated. This story is plausible which makes it pretty scary. Good reading.

TERRIBLE NARRATOR

I have over 500+ audiobooks in my library, and this narration is one of the worst I’ve heard.
The story was good but I won’t be finishing the series unfortunately.

Story length and depth seems to need help

I really like the Jericho Quinn storyline. I would like see a bit more story development. Not quite as long as a Tom Clancy book, but along those lines. I will continue to listen or read the books.

Interesting plot. Jericho and Tribudeau

I liked this one but didn't love this one. Felt highly formulaic. L pebably will pass on future Jericho and Tribideau, Batman and anti-Robin books.

Loved it!

The action was realistic. The family involvement was key to making the story move. I will read the next in the series

❤️ JQ Series but 🤮 Brand name dropping

This series is immersive and engaging - the writing is compelling and narration of books 1&2 is fantastic.
I’m most assuredly listening the rest of the books in this series… already purchased B3!

The only thing that chaps me is the brand name dropping. 😖
Good news is the brand name dropping isn’t anywhere near the eye roll, barf inducing levels lesser authors deploy (I’m looking at you, Brad Thor, Jack Carr & Mark Greaney)
My hope is Marc Cameron becomes successful enough “just” selling books, he can feather the gas or put the brakes on the flagrant royalty grubbing. Honestly, that formulaic falderal is beneath someone of Cameron’s imaginative talent.
Okay *that said*, I highly recommend this series!
I love that the first book was included with Audible plus membership- now that’s a book sales strategy I can get behind 💯percent.

growly voice

The story was pretty good. I enjoyed it, but the narrator, not bad, but some of his voices were a bit unrealistic. I'm an old lady, a veteran, and I taught on the college level for many years. I've heard lots of male voices. The only ones I can remember talking in a growl had a physical voice impairment. I don't remember any talking in a kind of high pitched voice. The narrator's regular voice was fine. Stop forcing it. However, I would rather listen to him than the way Luke Daniels does the next book. I couldn't even listen to it for very long.
