About this listen

It's a gorgeous autumn day in Georgetown. The Democratic candidates for president and vice-president of the United States are dutifully glad-handing voters and the media outside a grand estate where a national-security conference has just been held, bringing together the world's greatest minds to discuss the issues that are threatening the country. It's American politicking at its best. That's when all hell breaks loose.

When presidential candidate Josh Alexander's motorcade is ambushed by a group of terrorists, the nation is thrown into turmoil. Two weeks following the attack, Alexander is carried to victory by a sympathy vote, but his assailants have not been found. On the surface, it appears to be the work of al-Qaeda, and soon the FBI and the rest of the government begin scouring the world for jihadists. But then CIA Director Irene Kennedy and Special Agent Skip McMahon are presented with classified information so toxic that they consider destroying it altogether, as it contains intelligence pointing to some of the most powerful players in Washington.

Enter Mitch Rapp, the one man reckless enough to follow the evidence to its explosive conclusion. His journey takes him through the shadowy world of contract killers, into the darkest corners of the globe, and eventually back to Washington, where the fragile pillars of power are shaken to the core.

"[A] page turner....with...taut writing and [a] plausible vision of the real work of the intelligence community." ( Publishers Weekly)

I really like Armand Schultz's narration and wish he would narrate an unabridged version of Transfer of Power. I didnt use my credit to buy TOP because Nick Sullivan's sample narration (dont have to listen to the whole thing to tell, makes me cringe) just doesnt do it for me.

Like Narration and story

As always these books are interesting and very clever. I'll be watching when people in the government die.

Good read

As with all events Flynn's work this novel is outstanding. The audio book would be so much better if it were offered in an unabridged version. You should consider that even if you have to charge a little bit more.

Says narrated by George Guidall, but it's not. Was somewhat disappointed about that. Other than that the story was good, although hard to listen to.

Wrong narrator

Vince Flynn is an excellent story teller, and Armand Schultz did an outstanding job of performing it. My only complaint is that it was too short. But don’t let that stop you from listening to it!

Okay, big fan of Vince and the Mitch Rapp series BUT this title states that George Guidall would be narrating and clearly it was not. No disrespect to this narrator, but he can't hold the storyline, horrible with character change and overall made the book unlistenable. I will be seeking a refund on this terrible disappointment. Shame on you Audible from a devoted and steady customer!

Total disappointment!
