Today - as repeated attempts to “fix ourselves and our lives” fail - many of us face unprecedented fears about the future, struggle with unspeakable life tragedies, and sink under the belief that certain lives do not matter in our society. Others confront our epidemic of anxiety with fierce resistance, or “the fight to be right”, criticizing anyone and everyone just to end up stuck. Rather than wallow in confusion, Vanzant encourages you to use the meantime to prepare yourself for true love. The first order of business is to clean house. Room by room, Vanzant takes you through a metaphorical cleaning of the soul. This way, when love finally comes knocking on the front door, you'll have a clean house to welcome it into.

Shetty grew up in a family where you could become one of three things—a doctor, a lawyer, or a failure. His family was convinced he had chosen option three: Instead of attending his college graduation ceremony, he headed to India to become a monk, to meditate every day for four to eight hours, and devote his life to helping others. After three years, one of his teachers told him that he would have more impact on the world if he left the monk’s path to share his experience and wisdom with others.

Named after his well-respected father who disappeared when he was two, Wallo grew up in North Philadelphia with his mom, brothers, and grandmother, feeling pressure to achieve the success and reputation his father had on the streets. Wallace “Wallo267” Peeples spent twenty years in and out of the prison system before restarting his life and catapulting himself to unforeseen levels of social impact, cultural influence, and success. Now he shares his story with the trademark honesty that’s made him an inspiration to those who need it most.

Story
Today - as repeated attempts to “fix ourselves and our lives” fail - many of us face unprecedented fears about the future, struggle with unspeakable life tragedies, and sink under the belief that certain lives do not matter in our society. Others confront our epidemic of anxiety with fierce resistance, or “the fight to be right”, criticizing anyone and everyone just to end up stuck. In the face of such pervasive human suffering, New York Times best-selling author and legendary life coach Iyanla Vanzant challenges us: What if it’s not them - what if it’s you?

I absolutely love this book.
I absolutely love this book. I had it in the hard copy form, but lost it. I tried to rebuy it, however it cost in the 100 dollar range. i found it here on audible and could not be happier. This book helps create a way of life for black people.
