Cute and charming children’s story

We were charmed by this adorable children’s audible. The narration is wonderful and soothing while keeping you engaged and the story itself is charming. It also has a strong message of being true to yourself and using your own talents to solve problems.

There is no violence and this book is perfect for young children. It kept us engaged, myself included!

The only thing I would have liked to see was Adana befriend rather than tickle and reason away the giant, as I think it would have had a stronger message of inclusion and friendship, but the story was enjoyable and well-supported nonetheless. At the conclusion, Adana is accepted by the other dragons.

I received a free copy of this audible in exchange for my honest review.

Everyone is important and has their part to play

This was such a cute little story. Adana is an Earth Dragon, unfortunately. Earth Dragons are boring. They can't breathe fire. They can't fly. It doesn't matter how hard they try, because Adana tried. Hard. But, what happens when the Fire and Air Dragons are defeated? Can an Earth Dragon save the day?

Fiona Thraille, the narrator of this audiobook, did a wonderful job, and her narration had me giggling - even before the obviously funny part.

Having listened to other short stories by Debbie Manber Kupfer, I thought this one would be good. I was right. While I don't normally read/listen to short stories because they are short, and I read so much that I typically stick with novels that are 400+ pages long so they will last me for a day or so. But, Kupfer's short stories are worth the change. They are like a really good cup of coffee. So, join the rest of us who have indulged in this cup of coffee!.

Three Cheers 🎉 for Smart & Kind Adana!

I listened to this audiobook with a group of younger children and they became completely invested in this story. They were sad when the little dragon was sad and were able to relate similar events when they felt the same way. The storyline is based on a small, earth Dragon who is not accepted by the other dragons because she is different. Then one day, while she is snoozing in her cave, a giant appears in their land and scares all the other dragons who hide in Adana's cave. When Adana awakes to find a rather crowded cave, the other dragons look to her for a solution. Can she defeat the giant? This is a great book to explore emotions, being different and friendships with youngsters who are just starting to experience similar problems either in the playground, daycare or school. I stopped the narration whenever they wanted to divulge a personal experience and also part-way as I was interested to see what type of solutions the children would come up with for Adana’s encounter with the giant. Even the toddlers had very creative ideas and understood that being small doesn't equate with inadequacy. The narration was very well done & kept the children’s attention, which is important especially with a group of younger children ( ages 2-7 ). As a treat, and because I had access to the book through Kindle Unlimited, we read the story a second time with both the audiobook & the picture book. I had to do this twice since the artwork actually distracted the munchkins during the first run through.😊 They exclaimed their appreciation of the pictures with the typical chattering of young children. The artwork is basic but colourful & the giant is drawn with care not to give young children nightmares. Overall this is a very good book for young children ages 2- 8 and their parents to read/listen together and then talk about. Kudos to the author, narrator & illustrator. 4🌟🌟🌟🌟

A ginormous thank you to my friends for sharing an awesome group of young children for storytime. This circle of critics made themselves comfortable and settled in without difficulty to listen to the first of several books on the afternoon's proposed agenda. Subsequently, or often during the playing of the audiobook, the little critics shared their vociferous thoughts and opinions on the books that they had heard. Surprisingly, even the youngest were very good judges of the genre of stories that they liked to be read and then talk about. Other than nutritious snacks, the children were not bribed nor coerced into providing their opinions. They were in a warm, comfortable and safe environment and were free to wander or leave with their parent at any time. No children or parents were harmed for the purpose of obtaining these opinions. The reviewer however, being of an older age, was left slightly dented.

I received a complementary copy of the audiobook of " Adana the Earth Dragon" by Debbie Manber Kupfer from StoryOrigin in exchange for an honest review. I am not related nor friends with this author. The opinions expressed in this review are fully mine unless identified as that of another person

Cute Short story, Great for Children

I was given this Audible book and decided to write a honest review on it. This is a children's tale about how even the smallest and drab color Dragon can be helpful and liked. Narrator does a Great job of the Whole Story.

Too Adorable!

Adana doesn't really feel like she fits in anywhere. She feels like she doesn't belong and has no real purpose. That is until the giant shows up and scares the rest of the dragons. This book was just too adorable! I thought it was very sweet and very easy to read. It helped that I had a very soothing narrator, Fiona Thraille, reading it to me. Her voice was very proper. I really adored the pictures! I picked up a copy to read along. I was just so impressed. They were simple without being too simple. It's hard to explain it better than that. This is a great children's book to read to any child, including fur babies. It kind of reminded me a bit of Rudolph in a way.

Cute story with good message

I enjoyed this story and found it cute, engaging and the message comes across nicely, but not in a forced way. I look forward to listening to it with my daughter when she's slightly older and can understand.

Dragon version of Rudolph the red reindeer

Super cute audiobook for kids! Shows how being different can be a good thing and how the world needs all different types to make the world a better place. It also helps to show not to judge based on preconceived notions and that even the littlest person can make a big difference.

Wonderful tale with a positive message

To begin with, the narrator's voice is comforting and enticing. I was drawn into the story immediately.
The story has a good message about wanting to belong and accepting and identifying your own strengths and abilities.

This would be a wonderful story to read or listen to with your children several times in a day without becoming bored.

The tiny sounding (yet strong) voice of Adana made me giggle.

Thank you to Audible and StoryOrigin for my review copy.
