About this listen

Twain's classic tale of a young boy and his runaway slave friend, Jim, is still one of the best novels about human nature ever written. Readers will delight in the many wonderful episodes, including a deadly feud, the comic grumblings of the Duke and the King and Tom Sawyer's grand scheme to rescue Jim from captivity.Public Domain (P)2008 Audio Book Contractors, Inc. This book made me laugh out loud, and slightly tear up, but mainly it’s funny, and full of wisdom and adventure. Near perfect performance! Absolutely talented reader. Thank you.

I had fun listening to a classic novel. I hesitated at first, but enjoyed throughout the story. Narrator was so good that I could imagine Huckleberry's face from his voice.

Felt original while listening

I read Huck Finn many years ago but this performance brought it alive for me again in a way I had never imagined it. The accents are well done and appropriately hilarious and the production is first rate. Highly recommended.

I like this book very much. I am 80 years old. I am from the south. It had adventure, humor , great old time stories. There was a story written, the not so distant past where a word was frequently used that we find offensive today. But what would we learn today, if we cleansed away that word and made it not part of the story. If you compare the two, the N word and the master word, they are both repulsive, but they are both part of history if you look past the words that are offensive will find the humanism and compassion an importance of both.. I really enjoy this book.

Just never caught my interest, I couldn’t get past the first 10 minutes. Maybe I gave up too early.

I’m sorry but it just completely bored me from the beginning.
