About this listen
For years Akiri has lived as a hunted man. Hunted by King Zemel. Hunted by the Gods. Hunted by his destiny. Not even on the southern continent where his home and lands are a distant dream can he escape their reach.
Now the time has come to stop running. With Kyra at his side, he answers the call for home. And together they will face whatever fate awaits them. Through the power of their bond, they will shed the yoke of the gods. Through their deeds, they will ensure that the names of Akiri and Kyra will always be remembered.

Story
Minalan gave up a promising career as a professional warmage to live the quiet life of a village spellmonger in the remote mountain valley of Boval. It was a peaceful, beautiful little fief, far from the dangerous feudal petty squabbles of the Five Duchies, on the world of Callidore. There were cows. Lots of cows. And cheese. For six months things went well: He found a quaint little shop, he befriended the local lord, the village folk loved him, he found a sharp young apprentice to help out, and, best yet, he met a comely young widow with the prettiest eyes.

Conclusion? or Continue?
I can't believe no one has written a review, so i guess I will. I don't write many, but this series deserves some review.
the story in this book is not quite up the others, but i very much enjoyed most of it. it seems to jump around more than the others and skips what seems like weeks at a time. Recalling past experiences was not overly done and nicely fit the situation. the closing was very predictable and the foreshadowing was hard to miss. the battle with the king was anticlimactic, but it was always going to be one sided and how that battle concluded was known long before the fight started.
that said, this was a good, but not great conclusion to this story. the tale can continue, but i would hope BDA would stop while he is ahead. it took several years to get this one finished, and i don't know if i would continue if he put a sequel or spinoff out. if you enjoyed that first three, you will probably enjoy this one.
