About this listen

She's fated to be mine, but the world is determined to steal her away.

When I was twelve, I was forced to watch as an invader killed everyone I loved. He captured me and took me to the chamber, where he tortured me and the other males, desperate to twist us into a beastly army. He may have turned me into a monster, but I refused to give into his demands. Now I’ve been sold to the Galaxy Games, where I must complete a series of dangerous tasks with an Earthling female by my side.

Jade is luscious and curvy, and she makes me ache for a life I never thought I could have. She is determined to win the Game, and despite allowing me to show her the steps of Videen–my people’s way of giving pleasure–she insists she'll return to her home planet once the Game is finished.

But she’s my fated mate, and I keep what’s mine.

Alien Warrior Untamed is book two of the Galaxy Games Series. Each book features a different tortured alien hero who’s desperate to find and cherish his fated mate.

Interesting Storyline

Storyline was interesting, held my attention most of the time. Characters were interesting. Narrators did a good job.

Strong FL

Very enjoyable. Great little story. I loved that the FL worked hard to overcome her fears.

Aquaman-child romance not for me

There’s a formula materializing and it’s not my thing. Once again we have a new species of alien, this time one with gills and the ability to breathe under water. But like the previous guy Tetrix, Varos has been raised in captivity and has never been with a woman. As human Jade gushes towards the end, his “sweet vulnerable personality” checks off her wishlist. Personally, a grown man who’s constantly insecure as to whether he deserves the human he’s just met does not say sexy to me. It felt like Jade was a little
too Mrs. Robinson. Is cougar romance a thing? Because if so, I’d appreciate the warning in the summary so I can avoid it. Jade and Varos may be near in physical age, but mentally it felt sketchy.

There’s some other apparent formulas that make this feel too cutesy. Both books feature an adorable animal as a pet or sidekick. Both books have at least one scene where the scary threat ends up being no threat because the “monsters” are friendly. Both books have insta-mate connections with guys with wishlist appendages and the ability to bring the O with the “Fiery Kiss of Bliss.” If there was better dialogue, humor, or sizzle, I could get pass the premise of four different aliens from four different species all magically finding fated mates with the only four humans they are presented with. And all four humans jumping their aliens within hours meeting … while a galactic game to the death is on the line.

Like the last book, there’s an occasional repeated line of poor audio. This book also adds an inconsistent (British?) accent for Jade. But the narration is otherwise great for this underwhelming listen.
