I truly love AG Wilde and her writing. This was such an intense start to the book, but it definitely had me hooked. It was almost a little gore-ISH with that opening scene. (Think - The Red Wedding)

This was a great scifi romance, no spice until 70% through. Narration was good, first time listening to her as a narrator.

Like-able MMC, pretty frustrating FMC. Luckily the biggest miscommunication was relatively short-lived. I still really liked it. Would love to have a male and female VA.

This is a familiar plot but with enough differences to be interesting. I really loved the fact that the h was handicapped and the H couldn't have cared less. He was crazy about her. Really great world building and minor characters too!

I liked the premise of the story. It was a little brutal at the beginning. It still pulled me in and I liked the variety of heroines. I am beginning to realize that a lot of these heroines have little to no self esteem. It’s a frustrating trope that drags the story for me. Self esteem would have little to no bearing on anything if you were a person surviving alone in an entire universe and yet it’s a consistently used storyline 😩. No one in survival mode is that magnanimous. But ok. Outside of that, it was a good story.

Similar story to many others in this genre, but still fun. Frustrating misunderstanding between main characters with painful lack of communication that is a bit over the top. A fun listen overall.

The narrator whispers. I could not tell when the male voice began, caused confusion. I see the next one has a new narrator so I will listen BUT a 6 hour book is too short and not worth one credit unless it’s a favorite and I can’t say that about this series yet. Authors should note that short story length book will be overlooked if it’s one credit, need a box set.

Overall, enjoyable. The story is a bit shallow and there’s not a lot of character development, but it’s a good introduction to the series and it looks like the next books are more highly rated. I can’t wait for them! The narrator gave a solid performance, particularly for the heroin’s chapters. I would have preferred the male’s chapters to have been read by a man. I feel like these are pretty minor critiques and I’d recommend for a pretty quick read (listen).
