About this listen

Bridget Jones comes to YA in a story about a girl who's a bit of a mess and sandwiched between two seemingly perfect sisters, that fans of Morgan Matson and Jenny Han will love.

"Oh, that Mia!" "Will she ever get her life together?" "What a mess." "Why can't she be like her sisters?"

Blah, blah, blah. That's all Mia Campbell-Richardson ever hears. From her parents, her teachers, and her never-do-wrong older sister, Grace. So what if she flirts with boys? Who cares if she likes going out? She's great at other stuff, too, like speaking her mind, or nailing the perfect haircut, or being the lifeblood of her friend group. But no one ever sees that.

When Grace comes home with a shocking announcement, Mia hopes that it's her now-not-so-perfect sister who will be getting into trouble. But, instead, it's Mia who spirals out of control, and she starts to realize that her attempts to make life all about Mia might just be about to destroy the things she loves most. Can't a girl get a little love around here?

What made the experience of listening to All About Mia the most enjoyable?

The narrator and story line was wonderful. The humor, the emotions, and the annoyance all of it was carried so well by the narrator.g

Who was your favorite character and why?

Mia- as a middle child I could so relate to her. I loved how raw her emotions could be but also how humorous she was as well. I really sympathized with her through the book but also could still appreciate the other characters positions.

Which character – as performed by Lisa Williamson – was your favorite?

Honestly all of them ...Mia and her friends together was very funny but I also really liked the family characters. I usually get s disappointed with narrators lately but I was hooked from the beginning.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I did feel like Mia alot when I was younger especially as a middle child. I could really relate to the things she was saying and going through from that age. I think that's one reason I really liked the story.

Any additional comments?

This is deff worth a credit. I wish there was a second book.
