Publisher's summary

All bets are off in this heartfelt romance by New York Times bestselling author Jennifer Probst.

Happily single, Harper Bishop trusts in only one passion - her rescue farm and healing her thoroughbred, Phoenix. Her dream is to lead him to the Triple Crown. But how unreachable is it without experience or help? A handsome new guest at her family’s B&B has what it takes to make it come true. And with his irresistible brogue, warm smile, and soothing touch, he’s a major distraction.

After a bitter betrayal, horse trainer Aidan O’Connor has fled Ireland for a vacation in New York’s Hudson Valley. When he sees the horse with the fighting spirit, he’s inspired with a new goal: to train Phoenix to win. He’s also facing an unexpected new challenge: his feelings for Harper.

How can she dare to open her heart to a man who’ll be there only long enough to break it?

So Harper and Aidan agree: try to keep it professional, and focus only on Phoenix and the finish line. But along the way, they could also learn a few lessons in love, trust, and taking chances. And, as painful as it promises to be, saying goodbye.

Solid storyline, female narration lacked

Love books that cover animals, especially horses and/or dogs. As a rancher, I really enjoy the full gamut of farm life. This farm rescue is wonderful and shows that there are financial limitations without getting mired down into that side because that's not the story. It takes the highlights of training a horse for the Triple Crown because once again, Ms. Probst is careful to add enough for the story but not too much as to with down what is the real story which is the developing relationship between Harper and Aidan. The shared care of an abused goat brings them closer together as does sharing quarters. Like all the abused animals, Aidan and Harper have trust issues to work through. The question becomes will they? Will Aidan be able to set down roots?
Jennifer Probst stories are enjoyable but this series had two female narrators (1st and 3rd books) that seriously were distracting and did not do the male voices in a believable manner for me. These are Northeasterners not Southerners, therefore they would NOT talk in a slow Southern drawl, but in a clipped Northeastern voice. I grew up in the North and I've traveled throughout this area, had a roommate from New Paltz and have yet to hear anyone talk like that. I've lived in Texas for over 25 years and these two narrators made Ethan and Kyle sound more from the Arkansas backwoods. On top of that, they're both highly educated and trained. It was insulting to make Ethan sound like a hick, as he'd never achieved his military and body guard status of her really did sound like that. Kyle want as bad but as a screen writer he definitely has an image to maintain and sounding anything but intelligent would not have worked. Aidan's accent came and went, hence that was distracting, and he sounded like the other two men. I'd recommend finding better female narrators in the future such as Ms. Plummer.
That aside, I really enjoyed the story between Aidan and Harper. It was slowly developed relationship over 9 months and they were both not in a rush which is more realistic to me, as opposed to the typical quick week, 'in love,' let's get married scenario.
I love to read series where I really get to know characters and continue to keep up with them on ongoing books. It takes more mastery to develop a good series and keep up the high readership and ratings. Ms. Probst has an solid following readers because of her solid work. I always look forward to her stories.

Wonderful Read

I was disappointed when listening to Colin talk to Harper and thought oh no not one of these stupid situations. Can’t say how relieved I am that Jennifer showed there are women smart enough to believe in the truth of their knowledge and not be be swayed by someone else’s twisted beliefs. Love HEA 😊
Performance was wonderful as well!

The Irish accent was over the top. Aden was secrets were mysterious and made me nervous until they were finally reveled.

Loved the first 3 books in this series!

All were sweet sexy romances with a little heat. I plan to listen to the next 2!

The narrators

I liked the story but they changed the narrators in this book n totally sucked both voices were completely different from the first two books and all if a sudden the female characters had an “irish” accent when they didnt the first two books n well tge narrators is what made it quite difficult to make it to the end. But liked the book it was cute when i could get past the butchering of the characters voices.

This story and narration touched my heart so much

All Roads Lead to you hit me in all the feels! My heart reached out to each and every one of these animals. Harper and Aiden were the perfect combination of fierce protectors and beautiful souls. These narrators brought each word to life wonderfully! Absolute narrative and audio perfection! This story touched my heart and I will never forget it.

Not what I was expecting, and I liked it!

Aidan has a secret he left behind in Ireland to make a new start in America. He's honest with Harper in that he tells her he just wants to race. They fall in love but don't tell each other right away. Then Aidan's ex business partner shows up and tells Harper a bunch of lies about Aidan, but she doesn't believe him. I enjoyed the story very much and loved the relationship between Captain Hoof and Phoenix! I enjoyed the narration, too!

Sweet story but slow paced

Compared to the other two books in the series I found this one slow paced. The story was sweet and very centered on the horses in the farm, so the vibe felt warm and engaging. The narration was good,
