Helena Hunting
From the New York Times bestselling author of the Pucked series comes a romantic comedy about instant attraction, second chances, and not-so-little white lies.
Sometimes I need an escape from the demands, the puck bunnies, and the notoriety that come with being an NHL team captain. I just want to be a normal guy for a few weeks. So when I leave Chicago for some peace and quiet, the last thing I expect is for a gorgeous woman to literally fall into my lap on a flight to Alaska. Even better, she has absolutely no idea who I am.
Lainey is the perfect escape from my life. My plan for seclusion becomes a monthlong sex fest punctuated with domestic bliss. But it ends just as abruptly as it began. When I’m called away on a family emergency, I realize too late that I have no way to contact Lainey.
A year later, a chance encounter throws Lainey and me together again. But I still have a lie hanging over my head, and Lainey’s keeping secrets of her own. With more than lust at stake, the truth may be our game changer.

The writing style was also easy to follow & the characters were likable. Especially the FMC. I also happen to love any book that gives a realistic look at postpartum life (which is much longer than just the first 6-8 weeks.)

Lainey is a great combination of nervous, anxious, and independent. She's no damsel in distress, but she's flawed and completely lovable! Rook is sexy as can be, but he also has a heart of gold.
The narration for this was fantastic. I really enjoyed both narrators. They really became the characters and brought through all the emotion of this story!

Comfort could be the main theme of the book. By being together, caring for each other, Lainey and Rook both offer comfort to each other–to soothe Lainey’s fears and to bring Rook something he never knew he needed, real love. Comfort and reassurance and support are thrown all over the place, even by side characters. It was beautiful.
And of course, there’s a lot of love. The love between Lainey and Rook burned somewhat slowly before exploding, and then the embers keep burning for a long time. I enjoyed the fact that it was a second chance but we got to see the first meeting as well in a long and delicious flashback. We aren’t forced to accept their love at face value. We actually witness the spark. There’s also family love and how it can be toxic. There’s friendship too.
The characters were entertaining, especially Lainey. You’ll get to learn some weird stuff about aquatic mammals for sure. She was also a compelling character who shows a lot of strength despite her constant fears and anxiety. Rook, with his devotion and loyalty, was also quite interesting.
The audiobook was fabulous, with two of the best narrators giving all their talent to the dual narration. They both had a good timing for the jokes and knew how to bring emotion to their reading.
