About this listen

For Hunter and Sara, getting married was easy. It's staying together that's the true test of love...

Hunter Cabot deeply loves two things: the international tea company he's helped his father build, and his wife, Sara. From the moment he first saw her wide smile on their college campus years ago, Hunter fell hard. Yet now, with other family members pushing to sell the thriving business and Sara grieving their failure to start a family, he's suddenly facing the crushing loss of both.

The relentless ambition that Sara once admired in Hunter is now driving them apart. Each missed doctor's appointment, neglected dinner date, and family squabble accentuates their differing priorities. Still, Sara struggles to create the home life they'd envisioned, until unsettling developments - both personal and professional - push them to the breaking point.

When love is put to the ultimate test, can Hunter and Sara stop fighting each other long enough to fight for their marriage?

Family Togetherness

This book portrays the ups and downs of a true family structure. It also is very relatable to the trials that a lot of us face in our marriages. There are powerful lessons of forgiveness and hope!!

All We Knew

Emotionally riveting story that had me cursing both lead characters. Hunter is trying so hard to keep his family business from being sold out from under him and at the same time trying to keep his marriage from dissolving because his wife cannot get pregnant. Sara wants nothing more than to have a baby. That is her whole existence and this is her last attempt at IVF. When this one doesn't work and Gentry finds out she is pregnant she decides she is going to have Hunter and Sara adopt her baby. Yeah, right. Also, Sara starts volunteering at Angel House and planning to foster children. There are so many twists and emotional turns, again cursing these two who really needed to stop and communicate with each other. This was a great addition to this series and I am looking forward to the third book.

a wonderful read

Sarah and Hunters true life struggles will have you in tears and smiling and giggling. Marriage is something we all have to work on and this is no different but how you work on it is a show of character, Hunter is a workaholic and Sarah needs him to understand she needs him also. Their love and support of each other is great.

About true life!

Jamie Beck really hit the nail on the head with this one! This book talked about how a couple overcomes not being able to have children of there own, n how they can work through everything if you work together!!

Great book to listen to!

This book was an emotional read/listen for me. IVF is such a personal thing to go through and Sara and Hunter broke my heart as they navigated through their journey. Marriage is hard and when you meet in college and 14 years pass, you change as people and as a couple. Hunter and Sara have some tough things to face in this book and my heart went out to them. I thought the writing was great and I definitely shed a few tears. The Cabot family is one that is pretty dysfunctional, but yet, they love each other. I can't wait to see what Gentry's book brings and where this family is headed. I've really enjoyed the first two books in the series. This could be read as a standalone, but I think you get more out of it, if you read book 1 first.

The only thing that I think would have made a better narration is for a man to have read Hunter's part. The narrator did a good job with all of the different characters, but I really like to hear a man read a man's POV.

I would give this book a 8/10.

The story progresses rather slow throughout the book but it was actually a great book! Towards the end, i couldn’t stop listening! The narration was okay. Ive heard better. There was a few mistakes but overall not bad. I enjoy the Cabot family.

good book

I liked the idea behind this story but I feel like it was dragged out and Hunter , although seeming like everything was working against him was so wrapped up in the CTC was a Whiner and Gentry was a bit over the top.
