Publisher's summary

PR agent Annika Lund can spin any disaster into a win. But revamping the reputation of a notorious Swedish hockey player will take every trick in her arsenal, especially when his agent insists that convincing everyone he's no longer a playboy is top priority. And that it requires a sham relationship - with Annika playing the part of loving girlfriend.

On fire in the rink and in the bedroom, Axl Hammerquist couldn't care less about being anyone's golden boy. So when his agent forces him to play nice with a new publicist, he takes satisfaction in being as much of a pain as possible. But the more time he spends getting to know Annika, the more Axl starts to think that being Mr. Nice Guy might be worth it if it gets him the girl.

OUTSTANDING READ!!! AMAZINGLY SPOT ON!!

Any additional comments?

I started reading book 1 in this series and for some reason jumped in to book 3. I was not disappointed in either book!! I'm ordering book 2 now. The characters are absolutely wonderful, but more importantly, the narrators were flawless!! Being married to an athlete, the storyline is so spot on it's rather amazing! This is definitely a MUST READsomart

Clever Lund family romance -#3

Swedish hockey player Axel becomes involved with Lund heiress Anikka. She’s coerced into assisting with his PR, first with advice and then by pretending to be his girlfriend. They eventually give into their attraction but it takes an entire hockey season for their love to get on a solid footing and for them to be totally trusting of each other. The writing is pretty good, the story interesting, and the couple seem well suited. A great choice for the Escape Package. Axel’s accent is odd when performed by both narrators- not Swedish. The inflections sound vaguelyWelsh but not at all Scandinavian.

Great addition and story...odd narration

I really loved this story. Annika was a good heroine. A good person..no baggage..she was secure in and owned her sexuality . These were 2 equals. I enjoyed their falling in love. The family dynamics are always interesting and real. The bromances were heart-warming.

I do have to say while I liked the male narrator his accents were.....odd. I found myself trying to place them often. Sometimes he sounded latin...spanish...sometimes he has an Asian lilt...but he never at anytime sounded Swedish or any kind of Nordic. He read well so it was a slight distraction to me but not irritating. It was just always noticeable because the female, who was good as well, sounded Russian when doing Axl's voice.

Loved this book. It provided both humor and romance and kept me coming back to hear more.

Good read but might be a hit or miss depending on

Story was strong in terms of conflict, but the romance and banter was lacking. One of the disadvantages I had was reading outside of sequence. I didn't realize this was book 3 in a series, so the heroine had SO MANY family members that I sometimes didn't catch. The Lund family is apparently big, and Annika was just one part of it. Axel was good for most readers, but I'm not most readers, so he kinda bored me outside of him being a polygot.

The love scenes outside of kissing took 68% in the audiobook to get to, and I tend to like steamier books than that. If the banter had been stronger, I would've gladly given it a 4, but it was overall good, just could've been better. Still good read!
