About this listen

From number one New York Times best-selling author Vi Keeland comes a new, sexy stand-alone novel.

Bennett Fox walked into my life on one hell of a crappy Monday morning.

I was late for the first day at my new job - a job I’d now have to compete for, even though I’d already worked eight years to earn it, because of an unexpected merger.

While I lugged my belongings up to my new office, a meter maid wrote me a parking summons. She’d ticketed a long line of cars - except for the Audi parked in front of me, which happened to be the same make and model as mine.

Annoyed, I decided to regift my ticket to the car that had evaded a fine. Chances were the owner would pay it and be none the wiser. Except, I accidentally broke the windshield wiper while slipping the ticket onto the car’s window. Seriously, my day couldn’t get any worse.

Things started to perk up when I ran into a gorgeous man in the elevator. We had one of those brief moments that only happens in movies. You know the deal...your body lights up, fireworks go off, and the air around you crackles with electricity. His heated stare left me flush when I stepped off the elevator. Maybe things here wouldn’t be so bad after all. Or so I thought.

Until I walked into my new boss’s office and met my competition. The gorgeous man from the elevator was now my nemesis. His heated stare wasn’t because of any mutual attraction. It was because he’d saw me vandalize his car. And now, he couldn’t wait to annihilate his rival.

There’s a fine line between love and hate - and we shouldn’t cross it. We shouldn’t - but straddling that line could be so much fun.

Great plot. The lead male and female characters didn’t hop into bed right away. Took time to fully develop a relationship and get to know one another, which is refreshing and more realistic. Still super hot. No unnecessary drama that some romance novels have.

Excellent character development and performance!

This was my first Vi Keeland but it won’t be the last. Absolutely adore Bennett and Annalise. Their love story was sexy and heartwarming. So damn good!!

I loved this book; the way they loathed each other at first, only adding fire to their deep attractions to each other. There was quite a bit of flirty, naughty times scattered throughout the book, which I enjoyed as well. Nothing worse than when you’re reading a book and it just goes on and on until the romance starts. I loved the way he had a cocky exterior, which just hid his deep feelings underneath. I also liked the way “Texas” stood up to him and didn’t take any of his BS! Overall, I don’t see how anyone could go wrong with this book!

Vi Keeland is my new fave romance author!

I thought the story line was very plausible and I like the lack of formula situations that characters get into.

Refreshing

'We shouldn't' is an office romance with engaging and loveable characters. Annalise is such a lovely person you want it all to work out for her, and Bennett, well, he has a lot of baggage to work through, but he also has a heart of gold. It was a heartwarming treat to read this feel-good, sexy, romance in such difficult times.

Bennet and Annalise's crazy train was just what I needed today!
The humor wrapped up in a heart-pounding, butterfly-inducing, intense storyline with enough chemistry to fill Texas, and puts the enemy in lovers -Gah- I could not get enough!
A perfect fictional getaway!
Well worth the time and credit!

Easily finished this light romance. Loved the dialog and banter. Needs editing about some of bay area details. For example, it kept saying go up to la. If you are in the bay, you are going down to la. Recommend having a bay area local give feedback about setting details. Even with these issues, I enjoyed the story and look forward to the next book by this author and narration team.

Enjoyable light read

Really enjoyed this story. The characters were well developed, likable, and had great chemistry together!
Definitely worth using my credit for.
I really enjoy Vi Keeland's writing style.
Sebastian York and Andi Arndt were the perfect compliment to this wonderful, fresh romance.
No matter how many times I've heard them both (and it has been A LOT!!) they always keep it fresh,
and bring joy to my ears with their impassioned performances!

Fun Listen!
