Bravo to the Brave Women Who Shared

With so many reasons women resist coming forward to share stories of sexual abuse, I give kudos to these who have! Most of all to Stormy who refuses to be shamed or scared!

#PresidentPreditor

Great book with details & insight of the absolutely disgusting sexual predatory behavior of DJT. Also puts all his complicit and/or guilty enablers/powerful men. 👍👍👍

Old News

Nothing new here; no new insight, understanding and nothing which couldn’t have been gleaned from a tally of newspaper articles. Save a credit and read archived copies of the NYT or WaPo. I’m not sure what I expected, only that I was disappointed.

Rehash With Glaring Omissions

Even the title is a misnomer. Most of the stories herein have already been well-explored in the mass media. An examination of the few previously undisclosed accounts shows most are of the "he grabbed me and kissed me on the lips" variety. While trump's behavior in these incidents shocked and shamed the women, it did not rise to the level of criminal sexual assault. One incident of apparent rape is compelling, but boils down to a "she said, he said she's lying" story, as do nearly all the claims of forcible and unwanted sexual attention. The accounts of sexual assault are, in most cases, lacking documentation, currency, and first-hand sworn testimony--mainly due to alleged witness intimidation, nondisclosure agreements, or both. Inexcusable, given the book's title, is the omission of women with close ties to Trump, such as Hope Hicks and Sarah Huckabee Sanders, from the narrative. Others very near and dear to him, like Kellyanne Conway, Omarosa Mantigault, and even Ivanka Trump are barely mentioned or hurried past in a cascade of innuendoes from supermarket tabloids. Too many pages are spent retelling stories from Miss USA and Miss Teen USA pageants where Trump burst into dressing rooms or harassed contestants with post-midnight phone calls--all thoroughly covered in the press, all excused as "owner's prerogative" by the Trump organization. The authors spend much time with Stormy Daniels, whose story (such as it is) has been told in excruciating detail in her book and numerous television interviews. The final chapter of "All the President's Women" is a recounting of Daniels' personal appearance at a Lexington, Kentucky Strip Club. It adds a bit of heat but no light or revelation to what ends up a rehash of rumors, conjecture, and recantations concerning the sexual behavior of our current White House occupant. Sad to say, Donald Trump is a sexual predator by his own admission, as well as a petty, insecure, and unfit leader. This book is a superficial treatment of this important subject. You almost feel a high schooler could have done better research and offered more insight using a laptop and a library card.
