About this listen

The man the New York State attorney general credited with inspiring her prosecution of Donald Trump—New York Times number one best-selling author Michael Cohen—tells the behind-the-scenes story of what can happen to you—and what really happened to him—when a president who believes himself to be above the law decides to go after his critics....

When Michael Cohen's secret payoff to porn star Stormy Daniels on behalf of Donald Trump made Cohen look like a liability to the by-then-president of the United States, the end to their decade-long relationship came swiftly—with a knock on the door from the FBI. Soon, Cohen would find himself imprisoned—even though he had plenty of evidence to show he was innocent of most of the charges. Meanwhile, with the release of the Steele Dossier, Cohen also found himself battling endless news reports citing the dossier claims that he had clandestine dealings with Russia—reports that only mounted despite his exoneration by the Mueller Report.

In a story now being echoed in recent breaking news stories about IRS persecution of other Trump foes such as former FBI head James Comey and others, Cohen details—in his inimitable blunt language, with absolutely no holds barred and naming names—his attempt to clear his name and tell the truth about Donald Trump. Chillingly, he also makes clear what happens when you try to speak truth to power, and the power knows no bounds.

...because the elite protect the wealthy. If you threaten the wealthy elite, there's no justice for you. Our democracy is in perile without a DOJ that protects all of us. Find out all about it in Cohen's book.

Michael Cohen should be applauded for his raw self reflection, admittance to bad deeds done in service to a soulless human and his apparent, honest regret for the crimes committed for the same turnip. His story is honest, heartfelt, well put and important for these times and for future historical review.
The bad part is the awful narrator, whose grating voice becomes exponentially worse when trying to adopt “characters”. His awful attempt at Russian accents, Donald Trump impression, his (fairly racist and childish) “black person” accents (think Amos and Andy) and worst of all, his utter criminal attempt at imitating a great American, Elijah Cummings. The narrator is SO small in his thinking and SO bad at impressions that he automatically infuses the BALTIMORE born and bred Cummings (the text even SAYS Cunnings is from Baltimore) with a horrible southern accent straight out of “Gone with the Wind.” Just terrible. If the book didn’t contain such reasonable and sincere words, I’d have given up on it because the narration is so bad. Never give this guy a chance to read again. I hope he wasn’t paid for this nonsense. It almost ruins a perfectly good book.

Great book. Horrible interpretation

I listen to at least 3⁄4 of the book more than once. I just kept backing up trying to understand What I was hearing , The narrator, Bless his little heart,, was Nothing like I have listened to for years.I used to listen to cassette tapes. Of all All of the hundreds and hundreds of narrated books poems and so forth I could not get into this.I did love the book In Michael Cohen and his quest for a pardon. He certainly deserves it.I'm going to look at his 1st book But if it's the same narrator I'll have to buy it and read it. I don't think that I will be able to listen to him again....And I'm sure sure he is A great great guy and just the best ....Thank you so much. I am a Midas touch brigader.

We all know Trump is a criminal just waiting to be indicted. Cohen has unparalleled insight and his second book is as riveting as the first one. I prefer Disloyal mostly because it's backward looking and the narrator is more pleasant.

Narrator not as great as Disloyal, still riveting

I couldn’t stand Michael Cohen until I read this book. How wonderful to get a different look at him and now empathize with him for all he has endured with spirit intact. Bravo!
