About this listen

In American Reset, the final chapter of the Economic Collapse Chronicles, the ultimate contest between liberty and tyranny reaches the apex. The Bair family and their neighbors learn the true value of community as they rely on each other to survive the war and the effects of the financial meltdown. Will the collapse bring an oppressive regime that enslaves the American people, or will the patriots prevail and guide the country back to a place of freedom, peace and prosperity?

Fantastic end to the series

This seems to be the last in the series but if you're like me you'll want more. The author is as steady and true to the story line as the other 2 books. You'll be glad you continued with the series. And as always the narrator brings the characters to life.

Intriguing story

Where does American Reset rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is in the top 20 % of 5 years of listening.

What was one of the most memorable moments of American Reset?

The greed of Americans in crisis. We see on the news how greed and unlawfulness occurs when there is a disruption of civil order.

Have you listened to any of Kevin Pierce’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

First listen to his narration. Listened to the entire series. He makes the book as an enjoyable listen. Great character voicing and emotions.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The book made me angry because I can see our country turning on itself at a time of need. We see on the national news stealing from stores, rioting in the streets, gang violence, and the collapse of major cities in our country. Detroit, Cleveland, and now Ferguson.

Any additional comments?

I enjoyed the how the author interpreted the creation of the constitution. There is a lot of Christian / Jewish biblical reference and scripture. It isn't politically correct to reference scripture. I have read a lot of reviews putting the series down because of the religious structure of this story. It concerns me that there are readers that were so turned off by the story on the basis of beliefs.

This is a fiction book.

I enjoy Mark Goodwin's books. The backdrop to the stories is a work of realistic comparison of the light and darkness in our world. Families count, liberty to follow what the founding fathers envisioned for this Republic. What they were unable to envision was the fully developed darkness of mens' souls that are deceived. Every truth is called a lie. Every lie is held up as truth. The line is very clearly shown in these books concerning the difference in light & darkness of the characters. No character is held up to be put on a pedestal. All characters have human backgrounds of failure. The characters suffer loss of loved ones, temptations, the ability to be deceived and betrayed by those they trust. The characters on the opposite side are shown to present circumstances that cause loss of loved ones, encourage circumstances to tempt others to fail and even work to deceive for compensation the deception that harms others.
The end of these books is always a change in lives, and it works out in a way that is according to mens' lies or truth an ultimately works according to the plans. Kevin Pierce is an excellent performer. Mark Goodwin never puts his audience in situations that involve fowl language nor sexual encounters.

Good book

Definitely satisfying. These three books are worth a look for sure. All of the scenarios are very plausible and could happen

Mostly Military Strategy

Interesting, informative. Includes a very good story about a slave labor camp. Book 3 is mostly military strategy. I have listened to this twice and picked up more the 2nd time. Will probably listen a third time, because there were still things I missed.

Book 1 still the best in the series.

Book 3 interesting and informative, but unrealistic timeline and fairy tale happy ending.

I recommend Book 3 for entertainment value and to learn how other people think and plan.

Biblical references are inspiring.

Great Characters within a story that is completely within the realm of possibility and relevant to our current society.

Loved it!!

Scary, but not unrealistic or far fetched. The Bairs are like family now, miss them already. Great read... Stay prepared.

excellent work, new Amerca, back 200 years probabl

It is very probable that we're going to destroy this country to where we will have to do a real reset. It is interesting that today in 2021 the progressive liberals are talking about a great reset. This series Is very much like a prophecy. Good work!
