About this listen

USA Today best-selling author and Amazon all-star award winner

While foreign forces occupy America, pockets of ordinary citizens gather together to resist.

Can a ragtag group of determined people survive the takeover?

Logan Cahill, Skylar Madigan, and Harper Whitaker are part of a growing underground effort to reclaim occupied America. But when Logan is alerted to a cryptic message in the world’s largest server room, the doomsday clock begins.

Logan knows the enemies, the weapons, and the time of the country's death sentence, right down to the minute. If he and his newfound friends want to survive the apocalypse, they’ll have to bug out fast and head north to the southern Oregon town of Five Falls.

With no power, no heat, and a total grid collapse, tough times keep getting tougher. But when America is struck with an EMP, this small group of survivors will be forced out of the frying pan and into the fire. Only there can they fight for their homes, their families, their community, and their right to be free from the restraints of an oppressive world force.

But will they all survive? Will America survive? Could you survive?

This intense new tale of strength, survival, and patriotism puts ordinary citizens and preppers on the front line of a domestic conflict that was never supposed to happen, one that will either unify the country or break her for good.

*Contains scenes of violence and adult content consistent with a full-scale societal collapse, foreign occupation, and a post-apocalyptic nightmare.

what a fantastic book set! very gritty and realistic!

What I found truly interesting is the fact that there are a vast number of current REAL WORLD events that are occuring and have been occurring every since the Americas President Biden took office, especially from what I have watch on Sky News and with all of the ties both the current President and his son have had with China! And while listening to this entire series, I could see the Americas President being the one who was over in China (just as is the case in this book!).

But what made this book really good was how a family not only supported each other but also were willing to teach others what they would need to do to survive. While also actually actively preparing to fight back! Also how this particular family seemed to add more and more people who were not even part of their family into their fold. As this provided a much needed shelter for some but more importantly allowed others to fall in and be added to the ranks of the resistance members, thus improving everyone's chances to survive.

This also just proves something that I myself have always said, "Family is not people with whom a person is born into, but instead a family are those individuals who during the good but especially when the shite has gone to the hen house, will be right there beside you and facing down whatever it is that yourself is facing down! Family are the people who will walk through Hades itself just to take a shortcut to get to you and stand against whatever is coming for you! Whether it appears it will be a losing or winning battle, your mates will be right there standing beside you! That is what family means to me! And that is exactly what the gist of this book is about.

Moments of laughter in the pit of warfare.

The camaraderie that the character developed throughout all books hardened me and gave me a sense of momentary happiness as everyone struggled to survive and overcome the horrors and brutalities of war.

Just a tad too much.

The underlying story is good; however, I struggled to finish this series due to the unnecessarily vile and disturbing details weaved throughout. There were so many areas were a little less would have made the story more....

Wonderful

This has been a wonderful series. The characters are easy to get attached to. The horror of war on American soil is hard to imagine but this story brings it front and center. We need to listen and act.

I need more!

I became so attracted to these characters. Ryan Schow has such a way of pulling you into their lives as if you are right there with them. You go from cheering them on to wiping tears. The whole gamut of emotions from joy to despair.
I highly recommend this series. I really can't say enough. But don't want to give anything away either. So, just go read it. 💞

Dark days.

it was a great story. It was an emotional roller coaster. Judging by the world we live in today this story isn't far from reality.
