About this listen

Peter Carey has won the Booker prize twice for his ventures into historical fiction, True History of the Kelly Gang and Oscar and Lucinda. Now the acclaimed Australian author is set to address a rather more contemporary situation.

Amnesia is a thrilling and witty journey to the place where the cyber underworld of radicals and hackers collides with international power politics.

I found story hard to follow. It jumps around a lot. The premise is clever, I couldn't get attached to the characters.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

A better narrator would have, perhaps made this easier to follow

What was most disappointing about Peter Carey’s story?

The story was not a thriller nor full of intrigue. It was an aimless story about many disjointed memories. Just ramblings.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Colin McPhillamy?

Greg Tremblay

Any additional comments?

The book description was nothing like what the actual plot was about.

Aimless and boring
