About this listen

The world has Fallen, but life goes on…

In the late 2020s and early '30s, corporations managed to render the major governments of the world obsolete. The big corporations owned most of the territories as well as the majority of the world's wealth. While many of the old traditions were still observed in various parts of the world, the true power was with the corporations.

In the late '30s, what would be known as the Corporate Wars began as larger companies initiated hostile takeovers in a whole new fashion. Employees, armed with corporate weapons, warred for dominance. It was a bloody time, and many small corporations were destroyed, as were a lot of civilians in the wrong place at the wrong time… as well as those who'd been buying the wrong products.

On May 1st, 2067, it all ended in a nuclear fire.

Fifteen outstanding authors have come to this Fallen World with stories that take place from the islands off Massachusetts to the California coast, from the swamps of Louisiana to the mountains of Colorado. These stories not only show you the Fall but introduce you to some of the people who might just drag civilization back from the embers…

A Fallen World Anthology

This is probably my favorite post apocalyptic series I've read. Combined with my preference of anthologies makes it a double whammy in my book.

With so many authors producing great stories it's impossible to pick a "favorite" so I'll have to just keep listening!

Great Addition to the series!

What is not to love about any Fallen World release!?!
I have been hooked since the 1st in the series and am listening to the latest release, Cause and Effect. I enjoy learning about the who, how, and why. Like in Kade, understanding why he has the database in his head made the character make more sense to me. WoW, that was a great story. And anything with Princess has me never shutting down my phone until it's finished (is it ever really? I hope not)

Finish something already

It’s a good series, but way too convoluted. Good characters, but there is so many from so many different places it’s hard to keep them straight. U can kinda of see where some stories might be going but others seem off. Time lines mixed up & plots mixed up. It’s kinda a shame because somewhere in all this are some interesting stories

great stories need to bring back the old narrator.

Great stories but they need to bring back Mark boyett. I couldn't finish the book in the series because the narrators' acting was trash.

Kinda hard to follow

To be honest, the last two books left us with really drastic Cliff Hangers. To throw this book in with multiple stories just like the one in the beginning of the series. Kind of threw me for a loop. It wasn’t bad it, but it wasn’t not bad. But I am a fan of the Father’s World Series and so I shall and will continue to support.

Okay

Still upset with the narrator change. The stories were good some better than others. I just hope this does not turn out as another Wade book.
