Are you interested in learning a new language that is visual and expressive? If so, then ASL might be the perfect language for you. ASL is not only the third most commonly used language in the United States, but it is also the primary language of the deaf and hard-of-hearing community.
This introductory guide teaches you the basics of ASL, including the letters, numbers, and some common words used in everyday conversation. You will also learn some background information on the language, its history, and how it is used in the deaf and hard-of-hearing community in the U.S. and internationally.
Throughout the course, we provide clear instruction for the common signs as well as offering opportunities to review your knowledge.
Whether you're looking to expand your language skills for personal growth, career advancement, or to communicate better with friends or family members who are deaf or hard-of-hearing, this is the ideal way to learn the basics of ASL on your own schedule.

I would almost think the author only has a rudimentary knowledge of ASL and nothing more. There are only 8 minutes of vocabulary instructions and it’s just the super basics with time being taken up my annoying bell sounds and random comments.
1 credit for 45 minutes with a lot of fluff is super annoying.
I hope an audiobook with an actual significant amount of high frequency signs explained well without wasting our time with fluff or false facts or history comes out.
Great teaching, redundant, and small amount of material.
