Fantastic narrator; great story

Would you listen to Animals again? Why?

I don't usually listen to audiobooks again but I'll be looking for the narrator's other work and I've added the author's other book to my wishlist.

What did you like best about this story?

I really enjoyed this book but I think a large part of my enjoyment might have been the audiobook's narrator -- i could listen to her read the Manchester phonebook.
The story itself was interesting; i like reading about women's friendships, particularly women my age. The "Withnail & I with vaginas" comment in another review was spot on and there were some gorgeous turns of phrase here. There were some places where the narrative lagged but it was forgivable.

Have you listened to any of Chloe Massey’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Not yet but looking forward to it.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Laugh and laugh and cringe a little. I ended up telling a friend about some of the embarrassing moments from the book.
