About this listen

He stole my heart long before my sister stole his.

She was the "bad girl" all the guys wanted and I was the "good girl" everyone overlooked.

Now my sister is dead. I'm alone, left in the shadow she cast over me.

He's the last person I expect to see at the funeral.

And now I need him more than ever.

Anna's Dress by London Casey and Jaxson KIdman

This is such an angst filled emotional story. Things are not always how they seem. London Casey and Jaxson Kidman sure know how to write a story that is haunting. I listened to this on audible and really liked the narration of Angela Moore and George Wickham. Definitely a 5 star story!

hmm! I liked the book but he angst was too much for the conclusion. maybe it would have been different if I was reading it vs audible, but it really seemed to drag. good book but you know where it is going. -Dink

Good book

I did enjoy this book. You really felt for the character and her “relationship” with her sister, and she had to put her whole life on hold to basically keep her sister alive. It had lots of angst but I enjoyed it. The narration was great!!

Evan and Adena

An emotional and heart breaking journey to go on. My heart broke for Adena. It honestly felt like I was reliving my past with my own sister, when a person is an addict; it hurts everyone around them. It may have seemed like Adena was hateful because of her feeling towards her sister but I know from personal experience is that you love this person so much when it all ends you feel some sort of relief. Ok, so back to the story... Evan and Adena were meant to be together but circumstances, and their need to protect other people kept them apart. When they finally meet again, their chemistry is palpable, their connection is beautiful, and their future looks brighter. I enjoyed every heart wrenching- love infused, emotional moment of this story.

SORRY... BUT NOPE IT’S NOT FOR ME

At the Prologue I thought hmmm, ok ok give it a chance.. but, as the story slowly unfolded, it unfortunately started to hit various alarm bells and, by chapter eight sadly I was done!! Chapter four, by my count, had twenty-six “said.. asked.. said.. whispered.. said.. said.. promised.. said” etc.. etc.. etc.. and this is one of my biggest peeves. The story could’ve been good (shrug) but unfortunately I’ll never know.. however, I wasn’t too impressed with the little bit I did hear which grossly underwhelmed me. I didn’t like, nor could I connect with, the hero and heroine, I didn’t like the past-present back and forth and some of the character’s thoughts and vocal verbiage was off.. odd.. and/or just plain stupid.

Worth a credit? Nope, not even $ when it’s on sale.. but you may not be quite so ocd as me and maybe you’ll be able to focus on the storyline rather than what word will be used next instead of the excessively used “said”. Note to Audible.. pleeeeeze stop, give up, desist, refrain, abstain, cease and end using the word “said” (.. and all words of the same ilk) in audiobooks - just get good narrators who don’t need to use them.
