About this listen

Best-selling author of The Sunday List of Dreams, journalist, and nationally syndicated columnist Kris Radish creates vividly imagined female characters who seem to jump from the pages.

In Annie Freeman's Fabulous Traveling Funeral, Katherine Givens befriends the four other women who, through the unexpected circumstance of their recently deceased friend Annie Freeman's last will and testament, are about to share a life-affirming road trip.

This is a great book, not only fun but also provides a lot of food for thought about friendship, priorities in life, life and death, celebration of life. At times, it seems frivolous but putting your mind into it and placing it into context then you can extract all possible meaning out of it. I really enjoyed listening to it, a great reader, by the way. this book is up there among my very favorites of all times. Hope you'll enjoy it as much as I did.

The book was for the most part enjoyable, although somewhat predictable and the ending was a little too convenient. Yet I found it mostly entertaining in spite of this, and the idea of a traveling funeral really appealed to me. I am making plans now for my own travelling funeral.

Enjoyed it thoroughly. As a retired hospice social worker it was so real and honest and delightful. Many people aren’t comfortable with talking about death or grief. The author did a remarkable job of including the good the bad and the ugly.
