About this listen

The Love Collective is everywhere.

It sees everything.

Be not afraid.

Apprentice Flick remembers everything, except the first five years of her life. And for as long as she can remember, Flick has wanted to enter the Elite Academy - home to the best, brightest, and most loyal members of the Love Collective government.

Flick's uncanny memory might get her there, too...even if it is the very thing that marks her as a freak. But frightening hallucinations start intruding into her days and threaten to bring down all she has worked so hard to accomplish. Why is she being hijacked by a stranger's nightmare over and over again?

Moving to the Elite Academy could give Flick the future she's always wanted. But her search for truth may lead to a danger she cannot escape.

Where to begin? The world, the characters, the plot twists, are all perfectly well done. I could not ask for more from the first book of a series like this. My only complaint is how long I'll have to wait to read the next book.

Excellent Story & Narration - I want more!!!

Anyone even remotely familiar with the aspirations of today’s globalists would find this book disturbing yet captivating. I really liked the main character and her troubling journey really draws you into the story. I’m really looking forward to listening to the whole series!
The narrator is not one of my favorites but once I speed it up the playback speed it was much more enjoyable. Some of her voice characterizations are a bit exaggerated, but I got used to it and it didn’t bother me anymore.
I highly recommend the series for people who are looking for a dystopian story that isn’t offensive and isn’t totally unbelievable.
It gives you a lot to think about.

Captivating
