About this listen

From acclaimed screenwriter John August, Arlo Finch in the Lake of the Moon continues the spellbinding fantasy adventure series about the magic that lies just beyond our world.

Something was coming. Arlo felt certain about that.

For Arlo Finch and the Rangers of Pine Mountain Company, summer camp is more than canoeing and hiking. It's also a chance to search for ancient forest spirits and discover mysterious messages encoded in tree bark. But when Arlo and his best friends Indra and Wu stumble upon clues about the long-lost Yellow Patrol, Arlo uncovers a stunning history that leads right back to his very own family.

Good Clean Fun

Good clean fun, you scouts get involved with a mystic world. Reminds me of Harry Potter if the magical world was found in the woods rather than at a school.

Awesome coed scouting magic.

Awesome coed scouting magic. I’m so happy our family found this story for our spring break drive and now our COVID weekend hikes in the nearby woods in county parks.

Creative and Imaginative Audiobook

This is another one of those audiobooks that caught me by surprise by being better than I anticipated. I look forward to moving right along to the next audiobook in this series.

Fun engaging story

this is a great lighthearted engaging story for youth. much like Harry Potter but sovfar not as increasingly dark. Yet it still has great life lessons.

Even better than the first book!

Witty at times, intricate and interesting plot, easy on the brain and the “eyes“ (no eye rolling moments), interesting writing, and I’m not assaulted by language, violence, or worse. I love these books!

Good book but why?

The story is great but it strikes me as weird that Arlo mom was kinda unfaithful to his dad even though they were still married I HATE MITCH 🤬

The Boy Scout Experience I've Always Dreamed Of

I'd never heard of Arlo Finch before I came across it while searching the Audible catalog. And that's a shame. I'm only Two books in, but the world already feels deep enough to rival Percy Jackson's. I want to learn more about higher ranking rangers, the wonder, spirits and the realm beyond the Long Woods. I was once an anxious kid like Arlo, so seeing him grow more comfortable around his patrol and at home feels cathartic. I'm not sure if this verb can be used in the context, but I'm probably going to binge the series and I'm pretty excited about wherever it's going.
