About this listen

“As you dream,” philosopher and poet James Allen wrote, “so shall you become.” First published in 1903, this seminal self-help classic laid the foundation for today’s mindfulness practices and teachings. One of the first to explore the power of positive thought, Allen illuminated its effect on character, circumstance, health and body, purpose, achievement, ideals, and serenity. The root of Allen’s beliefs? That success, personal fulfillment, and inner peace really are all in your mind.

Revolutionary and enduring, the practical, profound, and simple meditations in this groundbreaking work still resonate after more than a century, and they have established its author as the father of the New Thought movement.

Revised edition: Previously published as As a Man Thinketh, this edition of As a Man Thinketh (AmazonClassics Edition) includes editorial revisions.

Amazing book!

I have read this book somewhere in the vicinity of 12 to 13 times, and every single time I read it I get something more than I did before! I hope to be able to assimilate everything in this book into my own personal life philosophy. I highly recommend this to anyone who desires to take control of their own life. I am the master of my fate in the captain of my soul! And largely due to the information that as a man thinketh provides. A truly wonderful book.

Thoughts to Contemplate

It's a collection of thoughts for the reader to contemplate, like "Good thoughts bear good fruits. Bad thoughts bear bad fruits."

Corrupted File

I wasn't even able to play it back. Has an error message that it can't be played in its current state...whatever that means.
