About this listen

I don’t know if he’s my ally...or my enemy.

As our head of security, it’s my job to secure the weyr from all incursions - but somehow, this slip of a man got through all our defenses and into the very heart of our land. He says he’s here to help. Sent by a god. A prophet to aid us in an impending apocalypse. And worse, he has some of our people already believing him.

I don’t trust him. His past is shrouded in mystery, and his magical abilities make this old dragon snarl in my scales. I plan to treat him like any other threat - by keeping him under lock and key.

Now, if only I could hold back the lust that overwhelms me every time I look at him....

Ashes and Prophets is best listened to as the final installment in the exciting and adventurous Dragon Magic series. This audiobook features one suspicious dragon, a prophet in desperate need of a knot, and the threat of danger looming around every corner. With the fate of the weyr hanging on their shoulders, will they survive...or fail?

Say it's not over!!!!!

Oh man I have loved this series. I have not read or listened to a whole lot of dragon shifter books before this series. Man have I been missing out. This series I don't know how to describe it I felt like I was listening to a magical story where I was smack dab in the middle of it watching it all go bye. The charters are absolutely amazing and so wonderful. I am so sorry to see this series come to an end it will for sure be on my relisten list. John did an outstanding job with this book. I hope to hear more from him.

Great conclusion to the story line!!

Basri and Timothy were such an interesting and eclectic mix! Timothy is a prophet for the God Eros and Basri is the lead for the weyr’s security. Basri does not believe in Gods. Timothy is a sexual person and Basri does not stand a chance against Timothy. This was a fantastic conclusion in the story line. I loved how all the stories came together!! John Downy did an excellent job with the narration!!

Love this!

Ashes and Prophets is book 4 in the Dragon Magic series. This amazing book is about Timothy, a prophet sent by Eros, and Basri, head of security for the weyr. Somehow Timothy slipped through into the weyr without being noticed, there to help and no matter what he's going to do what he's been sent for. I love Timothy and Basri together, love their dynamic with a little daddy/boy kink too. I love this series and the journey these characters have taken. This is definitely a series to enjoy again and again.
Narrator John Downey does an amazing job in bringing these characters to life.

Great Ending

A perfectly good conclusion to a good series, Timothy and Basri were a good couple to end with. The narration was good.

Fabulous!

I must confess, I hadn't really istened much with dragon shifters until I found Aiden Bates and Jill Haven. I love, love, love these series with the dragons. I also live the fact that the have different narrators for each audiobook. It just helps perfectly for their characters!! John Downey was a fantastic narrator! I love it when each character has their own voice and you know by the voice whose perspective you are listening to. Way to go!!

Again mixed

So I finished this series the way I started it with some mixed feelings, While I enjoyed the overall premise and the twist on this kind of world and I really did like the characters I found it a bit tedious to listen too there is just soo much information I think the relationship gets a little overshadowed by the whole of the story and while the background is overly explained for me the MCs are left a little underdeveloped. I will say in my opinion Downey did the best job with the narration,

DNF

Sorry not sorry. Not a fan of reading about main character fantasizing about rapeing the other character. Or non con acts during sex scenes, or sadistic/ masochistic acts. Maybe i missed the warnings about this book and the other one earlier in the series, but if i did, then audible needs to do a better job. Honestly just feel annoyed and sick to my stomach now. Each to thier own i guess, but i dont appreciate being blindsided without warning. Makes my brain feel dirty. After the earlier book, i stuck with it, because i found the storyline intriguing. Really hoped the authors were just trying to play to all audiences. But now I see thats not the case. Sadly will be skipping both authors from now on.
