Strange Book but fun

This was a strange little book, but it was a fun one you actually wanted to finish. I get it on sale with a group and was better than I thought it would be. Dated but really good.

My first David Morrell

I found the book difficult to listen to.The narrator did not hold my attention, I found it very easy to wonder off and start thinking about other things while listening. Overall it was quite enjoyable though.

Entertaining...for the most part

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Good story line, held my interest however the primarily entertaining plot with fairly engaging twists & turns is peppered with sophmoric and sometimes downright silly lines. The ending was so over-the-top with boy loves girl perfection it was ridiculous.

The narration could have been better but it didn't add or detract from the book.

If you’ve listened to books by David Morrell before, how does this one compare?

Not sure that I would try another book by this author.

A great listen!

A wild ride between an ancient civilization and pit falls of modern political motivations. Can’t wait for the next one!

Convoluted . . but interesting listen!

Vintage Morrell, good character development . . . stong personalities that come alive and plenty of unbelieveable but entertaining action

Great story. Corny narrator. Thrilled

I needed a book that I could listen to and pause frequently and still be able to follow. The storyline was better than I expected. The ending was predictable. but, I won't tell.

alonzo

This should have been a great book, Morrell at his best, indeed it was it was for something like 90% of the total book, but the ending detracted from the whole. In short a great story line that led nowhere

Not Morrell's Best

The plot is reasonably interesting but the story becomes tedious. Mid-book, it seems like every chapter, Morrell, through the main character, beats us over the head with the same theme; "Who am I, I've taken on so my aliases over the past 8 years , I don't know who I am." Yeah, we get it. Is it necessary to write about it every chapter using almost the exact same words?

I have enjoyed Morrell in the past, but I couldn't wait for this one to end.

Narration was well done.
