Publisher's summary

Robbi

Once, Lucus Shaw was my everything. First kiss. First surrender. First man to promise me a ring, children, a life together. I remember his rogue smirk, his soul stinging kiss, the blistering words that always made him a little dangerous. I gave him my body for one insatiable night. He gave me secrets, heartbreak, and hatred. Friends to lovers to mortal enemies. Our tragic destiny. But I survived. Adapted. Moved on. Fate doesn't care. Luke's back, and I have to pretend we still have a Cinderella romance to save my career.

Luke

I was her first, and I'll damned sure be her last. I made a promise. Robbi's an addiction I can't quit. A million of her icy looks won't make me forget what we had. This isn't over. Love never fades. I'll make our fake kisses real. It's not too late to have it all: my ring on her hand, my name on her lips, my baby in her. She'll beg for me again before we're done playing pretend. Oh, how she'll beg.

Contains mature themes.

Luke & Robbie

Love second chance romances, with Luke and Little Birds love story, with the deception and Lies that tore them apart when they were just discovering each other. Lukes never ending belief of his love for Robbie even when her own Mother's lies continue to try and keep them apart with her own mental manipulations to keep them away from figuring out her own anger and failures. Love prevailed and Luke helped Robin to let go of the hurt and anger and give the love he new they deserved the second chance. The narrators did a great job of telling the story.

Fighting for A Second Chance

Strong alpha MMC fighting for a second chance and not giving up. My heart broke for him because he always thought he was doing the right thing and it never worked. FMC always believed her mother who was a bitter person. Good narrators.

Couldn’t stop listening

I enjoyed every bit of this book. I loved the characters. The writer helps you become invested in their story. I immediately downloaded the next one. I will have to go back and read the first one in the series as well. Highly recommend

Same story different characters

I want to like this series but so far the plots are very much the same. There was an opportunity with this book to change it up but I’m afraid it’s just like the first book. I’ll finish the series just to see if this author has another plot up their sleeve…🥴

Not a beer good storyline

Lane characters and cheesy lines with bad reading made this an overall 1 star. I should get my money back

Yawn!

Boring nonsense. The narrators are great but the story itself is such a yawn. Robbie is naive and gullible. Lucas is soft. First book was WAAAAAYYY better and made me want to listen to the second. Unfortunately couldn’t finish 😒

Prison, Really?

This is the 2nd in the series and again and was enjoyable until we get mixed up with the law. First. The way they use the law in both books has been ridiculous. Again, a rudimentary understanding is all I ask. You don’t go directly to prison upon accusation of assault. There would be a bond hearing and they would have been able to secure it in all likelihood. They are BILLIONAIRES. Also, people signing a piece of paper that is later notarized to get people out of jail? Again, the conflict that is added should be a little believable, right?

I had to skip a few chapters

The book started out good and ended good. But I couldn't listen to the MFC say everything was the MMC fault when he did what she asked "leave me alone". I skipped from chapter 8 to the end of chapter 10. you do see the growth in her and the end of the book is good.
