About this listen

Olive Moore has been avoiding her hometown for three years now. But a phone call with her mom has her agreeing to spend the holidays back home with her family, she lets it slip she will be bringing a boyfriend with her. The only problem with that is she has no boyfriend. That is until she meets a handsome—albeit annoying—stranger on the plane who makes her an offer she can't refuse.

Finn Beckett has always had good luck, as demonstrated by the gorgeous blonde he's seated next to on a flight to Aspen. One drink too many leads to Olive spilling her problems in his lap, and he feels compelled to help. So he makes her an offer: he'll pretend to be her boyfriend to keep her family off her back and make this the best Christmas ever.

Olive and Finn spend the next two weeks going on spirit-filled Christmas dates with her family. Their ruse is working perfectly, but Finn can't help but notice Olive is holding something back. Something that could ruin everything.

Their relationship may have taken off smoothly, but with all this turbulence, will they ever make it to baggage claim?

This book was a catch-22 for me. I couldn’t stop listening, eagerly trying to finish but I was so sad when I read the last chapter. This is a darling story and Juliana had me hooked from the beginning. The performance was well done, especially the narration of Finn. I am looking forward to reading more of her books in the future!

This was a cute story but I wouldn’t recommend. I am not a fan of male characters who think they know better what their love interest wants than the love interest herself. Don’t intuit what people want, ask. Finn annoyed me multiple times in this way.

Fun but not for me

Quickly listened through this one. Plot was predictable, but a great book for the holidays! Narration was done very well, too!

Great story!

I really enjoyed reading this novel last year, and I wanted the audio version as well. It'll definitely be one that is listened to again and again, especially during the holiday season. 😊

Adorable!

Although the feud with her sister was an easy guess, I loved how protective Finn become of Olive over a few short days. Overall I liked this one a lot, but be warned: there are a lot of glaring oversights (like why her boyfriend lives in Aspen and she lives in Florida and nobody asks about it). The inconsistencies add up but if you can ignore them, their love story is sweet.
