Publisher's summary

“Trust me, Megan,” said my best friend. “This spa weekend will be dead relaxing.”

I didn’t think she meant it literally, but here we are, trapped in a remote, luxury retreat with a killer.

We don’t know who the killer is. Or if they plan to kill again.

After a major storm floods the only road that leads in and out of the cozy, secluded spa, we find a fellow guest in the sauna. Dead. She was murdered.

Who murdered her? And why? Is she the first victim of the killer’s weekend rampage? Everyone is a suspect.

Instead of a weekend escape from our lives, we’re trying to escape the weekend alive.

Can I get away from the killer, or will this be my final getaway?

If you like your cozy mysteries with a bit of humour, small town Canadian life, a hint of romance, a close circle of quirky, lovable characters that you wish you knew in real life, dogs and cats, and free knitting patterns, there's something in this series for you.

Clean listen: no graphic violence, sex, or strong language.

Other books in the series:

  • Knit One Murder Two
  • Killer Cables
  • Murder & Merino
  • Twisted Stitches
  • Son of a Stitch
  • Crime Skein
  • Sins & Needles
  • Rest in Fleece
  • In Stitchness and in Health

Each book in the Knitorious murder mystery series is a standalone mystery that is solved by the end of the book. The books can be listened to in any order, however the characters' lives and relationships evolve and change over time.

I love this series!

I have loved following this whole series! Megan and the rest of the characters are so much fun! There’s a cozy mystery involved, along with some great humor throughout the story. Megan’s headed off to a spa retreat weekend, along with her daughter and some of their friends. But while she’s there, one of the guests dies. And to make things worse, they get stuck at the retreat after a storm closes the road off and shuts down their access to the outside. I listened to the audiobook. The narration was great, making the story come alive and very easy to understand.

Spa weekend can be deadly

Bait and Stitch is Book 11 in A Knitorious Murder Mystery by Reagan Davis. Although Megan is newly married to Eric, she is having a weekend spa trip with her daughter, Hannah, and Connie. I really enjoyed having a mystery away from the men. I believe that the characters are so well written that they have become "book friends" and I enjoy listening to their adventures. I thought the author was clever in how she isolated everyone and I found this murder to be clever and created. I have listened to every book in the series and Bait and Stitch just might be my favorite. The ending was exciting and perfect. I believe that this series is fantastic!

Great

Always intriguing to listen to a knitorious mystery. Loved them all and I thought this one was one of the best with plenty of suspects. Can’t wait for more from Meagan and the gang.

Another fun cozy mystery

This is the 10th book in the Knitorious Murder Mystery Series that I’ve had the opportunity to listen to, and I hope to be able to catch up soon because this is a well-written fun series. It’s like revisiting old friends. Megan, Hannah, and Connie go to a spa to celebrate Mother’s Day, but soon find themselves trying to solve a murder. I thought the setting was a nice change, and I really enjoyed the quirky characters. As with most of Reagan Davis’ books, I listened to this in one day because I wanted to find out the whodunnit. I recommend these books for when you just need a relaxing, fun distraction…or while you knit! I’m looking forward to the next book.

Excellent twists

This is the eleventh book in the Knitorious Murder Mystery series. I listened to this book on Audible.
I was intrigued by the story but it didn’t take me long to figure out who did it. I was pretty sure by 20 percent into the story. I stuck around to see exactly why the killer did it.

The story takes place outside of Harmony Lake with Megan, Connie, April and Tamara and their daughter, except Connie who is like a mother to Megan. They are on a Mother’s day retreat.
I really enjoyed the twists, turns, and tense moments throughout the story. This was one of the few mysteries that I figured out motive, means, and method before the big reveal.

I recommend this story and series to anyone that likes a good mystery with plenty of turns.

Enjoyable

Once again, I’m looking forward to the next book. I thoroughly enjoy, listening about the notorious knitting shop.
