Awesome post-noir

I like all of the Eddie Holland books. This one may be my favorite. It is a well read, well written take on noir grit.

I feel like the wit of Eddie was even more natural than usual; I loved the strong focus on a central, deep antagonist; and the fantastic gestures of fair play they make to each other.

Austin is rendered well, and I am an Austinite. My inner reader does not care much about that, but those local elements were well done.
