Publisher's summary

Nora says she's happy.

Dagesh isn't so sure. He loves his pretty human mate and wants nothing more than to bring a smile to her face...so she'll go running into his arms. When he asks the tribe what she's missing, someone suggests a wedding.

All right, then.

He'll throw the best barbarian wedding ever.

So how does Nora tell her determined, thoughtful mate that what she wanted wasn't a wedding...but something a little different in bed?

Contains mature themes.

Wouldn't Resonance Have Solved That?

Always good to hear Hollie Jackson and Mason Lloyd, in my mind, the only voices of Ice Planet Barbarians. So this is a flashback kind of retelling of one of the first women from the crashed ship. This had a super cheezy wedding that I was cringing through.... and in parts it felt like someone who had never participated in BDSM suddenly picked up a RH, mafia, or taboo romance and was trying to awkwardly explain was consent was. As a full-grown woman expecting an explicit romance not a guide to consent for teenagers, I was annoyed. Ms. Dixon used to write books geared for adults this seemed like she was addressing very young Tiktokers who are just making their way from YA to romance and trying to please them.

It also crossed my mind that the author might have personal issues with her partner in the bedroom given the plots in the last few books. This one centered around not meeting one another's expectations in the bedroom. I personally, as I've mentioned before in my review of the other book, don't want to listen to a romance that is the same as my 40-year old friend who settled and married someone she didn't like and now I have to listen to her romantic issues. There is nothing romantic about that. It's like you settled and no amount of aromatherapy or silk sheets are going to change that fact.

If I were speaking from a biological perspective (which shouldn't be crazy because this is science fiction romance) the resonance the parasite that is would have quashed whatever sexual differences the two had to make resonance a complete success (as in the earlier books) most likely through pheromones (these hormones work with humans too, you never liked a brown-haired person then suddenly he's the sexiest man you've ever seen). The narration was great and they didn't sound bored with this one.

incredible and fun

even though there are many books in this series, I've not been disappointed by the emotions and fun in each of these stories

Another huge step forward on the Ice Planet!

The love story of Nora and Degesh is fun. The focus is really more about learning how to communicate than it is about ‘kinky’ sex. And it’s about life and the celebration of love. And there’s plenty of humor.
Ms. Dixon holds a magnifying glass up to these Blue Barbarians and humans and the picture clearly shows that the most important things in life are the same everywhere.
Again, the narrators, Hollie Jackson and Mason Lloyd, are really, really good. Jackson has a huge range and a different voice for every character. She’s amazing.
I waited forever for this audio book and it was well worth it. I just finished it and I’m going to listen to it again. Now.
Make sure you read or listen in the right order. I’ve got my favorites but they’re all great.

Where's the Continuity?

I've noticed with the Ice Planet and Icehome series that there are some continuity errors. Granted unlike how they were written I binged them all in a row so I was being understanding, but it's hard to overlook sometimes and this whole book was probably the worst culprit. I was super excited for Nora and Dagesh's story because I'm on the spicy side myself and there had been a ton of mentions in the other books about their steamy love making. So, I was really disappointed when the story didn't line up with the others. In an earlier books there's mention of the noises and positions that Nora and Dagesh make, but there was none of that in this book. At least not until towards the end. The whole Jewish Wedding thing could've still been done (honestly it was really cute and I thoroughly enjoyed it) but I feel like it should've been a separate conflict outside of the bedroom. I was expecting one of the steamiest stories from Ruby yet, and was rather disappointed. Mason Lloyd and Hollie Jackson killed it like always, so that's why my rating is probably higher than I really think this book deserves.

Time to start a spin off.

I love Ruby Dixon and the IPB series, but admittedly the flash back ones are not my favorite. Luckily, we are done with all the original people, time to move on to a new spin off like the Ice Home ones, I would be happy with books about some of the kids. Narrators are great as usual.

Such a great ending!

I am now anxious to start the spinoff series. I loved EVERY minute of most of these books and can't wait to see the continuation of everyone's story.

My favorite one!

This is my favorite book from this series! It eventually had great communication and some rough & dominance play.

"I would do anything for love but I won't do that"

I liked it, like many others said it was too short, I wished we could have went into more detail about the rules of BDSM and more examples to make it longer, but what we got was enough. sweet guy is always asking for consent. I love these books. hope we get more, maybe when the kids grow up
