Publisher's summary

What is The Bachelor Society?

It's a gentleman's club - like the dignified men of the past used to have.

Except, we're not gentleman, and we’re not dignified.

We're ineligible bachelors; bored, jaded and not looking for relationships. Quite the opposite actually....

We're so committed to being single, we've created a high stakes bet to see who can remain single the longest. Rules are involved. Prizes.

Laugh it up, but I'm no loser.

Enemy number one to my single status? My irresistible neighbor, Abbott Margolis. She with her evil cat Desdemona, and sexy AF pencil skirts. She's kind and beautiful and hilarious. We can't get involved, no matter how much her meddling grandmother pushes us together. But if I was going to lose this bet for anyone? It would be for Abbott.

Let's face facts: I'm a bastard, unwilling to settle down. Especially when there's a bet to win.

Funny 😄 and sweet!

This story was funny 😄 and sweet.. It felt as if the story was a little rushed to me. I wish we had more of a look into the boys club. And more time with our main characters as a couple it was like they made up then the book ended. Overall pretty good. I probably won't listen to it again so it was a waste of a credit for me but oh well….

For Sara Ney Fans ❤️

I’m a huge fan of Sara Ney and was super excited to listen to what I hoped is a new series. Took me a little to get into it, sweet slow burn and the narration was phenomenal!

Cute Banter

I always enjoy Sara Ney's books and the fact that Teddy Hamilton and Muffy Newtown narrated it is even better. The characters had great chemistry and lots of banter. The grandma was awesome. I didn't laugh out loud like I normally do with her books but it was still a good book.

first half quite cute

5-4-20
not great, not bad, cute. muffy raced through everything she read. premise was iffy - randomly meet someone in the hall and end up spending the entire day and night and the next and the next watching TV with them. mmmm ok. gave it a 4 overall only for smiles in the first half.

Re-listened. This time there was funny spread through the whole book. I do not like the FMC.

Very funny

Love the book. This is my first Sara Ney book and it will not be my last. Teddy and Muffy were great picks for narrators and they brought the book to life. Love the cat chapters. Very funny.

Bastard Bachelor Society

Overall the book was good, I liked I just didn’t love it.
I felt like everything was surface. We don’t really get to know Brooks other than he grew up poor he says that a lot in his head. We also don’t get to know Abbott a whole lot either other than her Nan is amazing and she grew up privileged and with a twin.
There were 2 cat pov chapters I just did not get. I love cats don’t get me wrong but well like I said I just don’t get it.
I did like that there was very little to no drama that was nice. I didn’t really feel the chemistry between these two and that isn’t normal for a Sara Ney book. Again I didn’t not like it, it was just different.

I loved the narrations both of these narrators are awesome and they really brought this book to life. I don’t think I would have finished if it weren’t for them.

Hayward bachelor society

Don't like the end. Poor boy made good then loses the only thing that carries good memories from his not so great childhood. Game tickets inherited from his grandfather that would have been shared with his child and would have bonded child with a grandfather he wouldn't know otherwise. Sure if he really ends up with Abbott there will still be baseball games but with only money attached no memories or and not provided by inheritance from a beloved grandfather.

Belly laughs

I was seriously laughing out loud. This book is really funny. If your looking for a hot, steamy read this not it. But if your looking for a funny, cute story this is it.

It was a bad time to make a bet

....... Brooks has this idea form the Bastard Bachelor Society, and bet his best friends his baseball season tickets. Last one left standing as a bachelor wins all.

The he immediately runs into his neighbor. Suddenly they are eating dinner in each others apartments every night. She's flirting with him with naughty TV games. The only thing holding him back are these priceless baseball tickets.

But then there's her Nan. Who's also a matchmaker and doesn't make it easy on either of them to hold back any longer.

Very funny = and the cat even gets some narration!

Teddy and Muffy are favorites and always deliver a great story for your ears.
