About this listen

It was 1972 when North Vietnam Invaded...200 tanks and three divisions advanced across the border. With peace hanging in the balance—the impossible happened.

When a Major in the US Marines chose to make a stand. He summoned the courage from within and rallied the South and through the force of will, American Airpower, and a desire to live. He pulled off the impossible and snatched victory from the jaws of defeat. The Battle of Quang Tri documents the Easter Offensive of 1972...a pivotal battle in the final years of the Vietnam War. With minimal US Forces remaining in Vietnam, the task of stopping the invasion fell to the shoulders of a handful of military advisors and aviation crews who had to rally their Vietnamese counterparts to stop an invasion, or the war would be lost.

Listen to the incredible actions and stories of this untold battle and learn how a few tough Marines and some Army advisors made the difference between victory—and defeat. Get your copy today!

Critic reviews

“This is historical fiction and will give the listener insight into one of the pivotal battles of the Vietnam War. Matt’s work putting this together was prodigious. I don’t know how he did it. As a historical novel, I think it’s great.” –General Walter E. Boomer. US Marine Corps (Ret.)

Superb Account of a Critical, If Unsung Phase of the Vietnam War

Spellbinding account of the NVA invasion of South Vietnam, Easter, 1972. The war seemed to be over. Units were standing down to go home. All but one US ground-force unit had already left. Army Aviation units were planning to close up and ship home. That was the prevailing feeling until the NVA artillery opened up on the city of Quang Tri and fire bases throughout the northern part of South Vietnam. I was there. My experience of launching in a Huey helicopter was breathtakingly captured by the author, himself an Army Aviator. For me, it brought back memories long suppressed, and filled in the gaps in my knowledge of those events. The author’s research is meticulous and accurate. He captures the tone and feeling of that dangerous time as only a seasoned writer and combat helicopter pilot can. This is the real deal. Please read/listen to this so that you can understand what we, the final leftovers of that war, went through and some, died for.
