Publisher's summary

The best things happen while you're acting....

The historic Madrigal theater, in the heart of downtown Wishful, is about to close its doors forever. A last ditch fund-raising effort, a production of White Christmas, is probably the only thing that could bring Tyler Edison out of retirement. She fell in love on that stage, but when Brody Jensen abandoned her, she lost the heart to sing and dance for the crowd. Maybe it's time to take that back....

It seems like pure chance when Brody's job, which has taken him all over the world, brings him back to his little hometown to oversee his boss's latest secret project. Brody's looking for closure, planning to sell the house his parents left him and finally put his past, and his memories of Tyler, behind him. What better way than to be a part of this last show? Even though his leading lady is surely long gone...

Put on your dancing shoes, auditions start at six o'clock.

Check out Once Upon a Setup, the companion novelette about Piper and Myles, followed by the conclusion of their story in Just For This Moment.

Lovely

I love the story and that it was a series. The author does a fantastic job telling a story.I highly recommend reading this book. This is a heartwarming story of Cam and Norah and how they get along. I was given a copy of this book for an honest review.

Great addition to the Wishful series

Wishful, Mississippi is home to the much loved Madrigal theater. Do to a bad economy and the theater in need of costly repairs, the doors to the Madrigal are about to close. An idea to hold one last musical to raise money to help save the theater brings the town together as well as Tyler Edison and Brody Jensen. Tyler & Brody were in love and planning their future when Brody suddenly left town. Now he's back co-staring in the musical with none other than Tyler.

I read the book and had an ARC to the audio book. I was curious to see if I would enjoy listening to one of Kait Nolan's books as much as I enjoyed reading them. I am SO glad I tried it! The audio did NOT disappoint! The narrator did a wonderful job of bring the characters to life. It was well done & great to listen to while driving or jogging. I can't wait for another of Kait's books to come out on audio!

Cute Love Story!

Super cute love story! Very quick read, the author is very detail-oriented, and sets the scenes well. The narrator is pretty good as well. Well with the read.

Good Story

Great story. Loved Tyler and Brody together even if I wanted to slap them over the head for their lack of communication. Not sure if the narrator was the correct fit for the story, but she grew on me.

Audible review

I love the Wishful series and Kait Nolan makes this small town in Mississippi come alive. The characters are so real the readers becomes a part of the action.

The narrator for this audio book is good, however, I had to slow down the pace on my reader, and back up a time or two. I’m contributing this to a faulty device on which I read,

I do recommend this audible book. If a first time listener it takes more than once to really get a handle on listening, which can be trying for readers with attention deficit. My first audio book I read along with the narrator and had no problems keeping up.

My preference for audio books is a low tone voice vs the high pitch. I am a fan of Ms Nolans and do watch for her books. I will purchase future audio books.

Beautiful Tale of 2nd Chances!

I had the pleasure of first reading Be Careful It’s My Heart by Kait Nolan and the even greater pleasure of listening to it read aloud to me when it was released on Audible. Like a number of Kate’s stories, this wonderful tale takes place in the quaint and cozy town of Wishful where folks actually know and still care about one another and find themselves rallying to save their beloved Madrigal Theater. What better way then to perform White Christmas as their last hurrah which ends up bringing long lost and abandoned loves Tyler Edison and Brody Jensen back together unexpectedly. The narrator does a wonderful job of bringing Kate’s characters to life and imbuing the sentimentality that Kate renders with each beloved character and the town of Wishful overall!
-- I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review of which I am delighted to provide.

My very first audiobook and I enjoyed the story

This was my very first audiobook and I am still unsure if I like them. I am a lover of reading so for me it was very strange to listen to a book. The Narrator Amy McFadden did a great job on the different voices but I found it hard to get my head around the characters if I was not fully concentrating. I have read a lot of Kait Nolan book and I totally enjoy reading them. I would not say I have fallen in love with audiobooks but for some people and some situations, they would be great.I was gifted this audiobook and this is my voluntary and honest review.

A sweet addition to the Wishful series

Ms Nolan takes us back to Wishful , a Southern town filled with fun and interesting characters.
This one gives us Tyler Edison and Brody Jensen. These two were sweethearts until the day, eight years ago, he left her behind to pursue a life away from the town, or so she thought.
Brody is back in town for his work as a general contractor. They both tryout for the play White Christmas .and thus have to face each other. At one time they were the couple everyone one loved to watch dance and act in the local theatre. Now this theatre is about to be closed down and the last “Hail Mary” is a fundraising .
All that said, it’s a story about second chances. Also , it’s a story about how misunderstandings and assumptions are that can cause more harm than good.
Will these two clear the air, and find that they do have a second chance? Or , will be stubborn and not take a chance?
The story is well developed and has likable characters. You will laugh at times, and want to meet entire town .
I was gifted this audiobook. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
