About this listen

A sexy small-town, wounded-hero rom com!

Sawyer Landry knows he’s been beastly to be around for the past few months. But he can’t seem to remember how to be fun-loving and friendly. Until he sees Juliet Dawson on his boat dock...and realizes that hip waders are, apparently, one of his turn-ons. But despite the beauty in the boots, the last thing he needs right now is a city girl in his way for the next two weeks. But he’s not really getting a vote. Juliet is determined that her little brother rebuild the dock he and his idiot friends smashed. She’s quirky, klutzy, independent...and possibly an even bigger pessimist than Sawyer is. He’s incredibly drawn to the cynical fish-out-of-water, who seems to be the one person who isn’t intimidated by his growling. The big, gruff boat captain is the first person in a long time to want to watch out for her, and Juliet finds that hotter than his grandma’s jambalaya. Well, that, and his sexy scar, his emotional baggage, and the sense of humor and fun that is buried deep.

But Sawyer doesn’t need any more people to worry about long-term, and the things that make him feel protective of Juliet aren’t going to go away. So, this two-week adventure can’t be anything more than a fling. With Juliet down on the bayou, there’s an even bigger threat than alligators and hurricanes. There’s the very good chance of someone ending up with a broken heart.

Loved Every Moment of Sawyer, Juliet and the Bayou

Wow, Sawyer was such an interesting character, especially coming off of the last book in the series I was interested to see how this story was going to play out. Let me tell you, I was not at all disappointed and if I dare say, I think this is my favorite book in the series to date at this point. I loved what the author did with the story line in terms of writing a character for Sawyer that no only accepted him the way he was, but was also so similiar in experiences. I think they were able to connect on a much deeper level as they got to know each other because they could relate to each other so much better. And I absolutely loved listening to that unfold as the book went on. I loved getting a chance to see Sawyer grow and maybe heal a little from his trauma and be able to live again and enjoy life. It was truly a beautiful thing, and to be able to experience that with Juliet was something special. Gregory Salinas and Ramona Master did a fantastic job with their narration as Sawyer and Juliet, and I wholeheartedly loved every moment of this story. I cannot wait to see what is going to happen with more Boys of the Bayou and specifically Kennedy and Bennett! #PinkFlamingoProductions #TheFlock

3rd book in the series and I want more of the Bayou stories

Sawyer, is the most intriguing of the family! I couldn’t wait to dive into his grouchiness and bad attitude! Boy was I right! His rough around the edges personality made me want to know him even more. Enter Juliet and I fell in love with this couple! His and her over protectiveness of themselves and the ones they love, was heart warming! While I loved the first 2 books, this has been my most favorite (so far). Looking forward to reading more and more about the Landry family!

Outstanding Story & Narration🎧 RomCom at its Best!

Wow, Erin Nicholas has definitely outdone herself with this third book of her “Boys of the Bayou” series and that is saying a lot because the first two books were awesome and pretty amazing. The characters are a lively bunch, they are all likable, realistic, easy to relate to and connect with. You can not help but fall in low with the characters and not just those swoon worthy Landry boys the girls are fabulous too. This book is Sawyer and Juliet’s story, Sawyer is the over protective grumpy one who points out every bad situation that is possible. He was not always like that but the tragic loss of his friend broke him up, he blames the Bayou and himself for not being able to save him. His family misses him and are trying to get him out of his funk, together they come up with a plan which includes bringing in Juliet, the quirky geek who mirrors his protective stance on things. Juliet’s brother crashed one of their boat and wrecked one of their docks, she is an attorney and represented her brother and decided a fair settlement would be to rebuild the dock. Sawyer was not in on this agreement so when she sees Juliet on his dock attired in full safety gear not only is he taken aback but he winds up being taken with her. OMG, that first meeting was both hilarious and cute and oh so perfect! The family was on to something with bringing Juliet in but they did not realize how great she was going to be for Sawyer. But can two who are alike in so many ways really be good for each other. I thought this was a match made in heaven, they were perfect together and for each other. I rooted for these two the entire time, he was understanding and patient with her idiosyncrasies and she was bringing him back to life. I loved how everything played out in this book, the story is brilliantly plotted with the perfect balance of drama and humor, a touch of angst, a whole lot of heartfelt and emotional moments and some hot romance, mosquito netting and all!! Erin Nicholas, thank you for another awesome story and trip to the Bayou!

🎧📚🎧 And for the wonderful narration, Ramona Master and Gregory Salinas are talented narrators and versatile voice artists. They did an awesome job bringing the characters to life, giving each their own voice and personality and a whole lot of heart. Their portrayal of the each character was spot on, sounding believable and just as I picture them to sound. Ramona Master played Juliet’s role with perfection and Gregory Salinas did the same for Sawyer, both were great playing the roles of the secondary characters as well. They set the perfect tone for the story, handled the witty dialogue with ease and landed the humor flawlessly. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for the awesome listen🎧

Life after Loss!

Sawyer was grieving and learning to live life after the loss of his best friend/business partner. When Juliet showed up on his dock with her hardhat and life jacket Sawyer didn't know that this was just what he needed. These two were a perfect fit once they figured out a few things. This was a quick listen and a great story. I loved how this couple balanced each other out! It's another great addition to this series.

Love Sawyer

I really have been wanting to see this story more from Sawyer's point of view. There just seemed to be so much there. I'm glad I got the chance to see it. I love this series completely!

Deep emotional connection and red-hot combustion!

This rom-com set in a Louisiana bayou is absolutely delightful, including the superb narration! I highly recommend this audiobook to all fans of contemporary romance and rom-coms. The romance tugged at my heart, and the quirky heroine and colorful cast of supporting characters put a big smile on my face. Erin Nicholas has outdone herself with the steam-inducing and intimate love scenes in this book. There are also touching themes of family, emotional healing, and overcoming obstacles in life. This third book in the “Boys of the Bayou” series can be read as a standalone or in order. There is a happy ending, but the couple's wedding is covered in a later book.

The emotionally wounded hero Sawyer Landry loves the bayou and his extended family. However, the accidental death of his best friend 6 months ago really hit Sawyer hard. He became afraid that someone else wouldn’t take all the safety precautions and would die like his friend. Therefore, he has been a grumpy, fussy mess and has lost his fun-loving side. It takes a unique lady in hip-waders visiting his dock to make an impression on Sawyer. Juliet is a smart, feisty woman who takes all kinds of safety precautions and pre-planning to compensate for a slight disability. Juliet and Sawyer are so thoughtful and generous with each other. Their sexual chemistry is off the charts, but the deep connection that Juliet and Sawyer form is extraordinary. This romance is a real experience that will give you all the feelings.

The dual narration was awesome. Ramona Master’s performance was so funny, touching, and unique. She totally brought Juliet to vivid life. Her pacing, emoting, passion, and everything were perfect. Gregory Salinas did a fantastic job as well. Although he didn’t have a Cajun accent for Sawyer, his accents were perfect for everyone else. He was super sexy with this dialogue, especially in the bedroom scenes. His deep, smooth voice was a great match for Sawyer’s tall, fit, hot body. The two narrators really matched each character’s voice really well, maybe better than any other narration pair I have ever heard.

One of my favorites!

What a fun and enjoyable listen! I laughed and chuckled numerous times while listening. The story is so amazing. I love the swamp theme and the characters are outrageous. The setting is great but the family brings it to life. Leo just cracked me up with his comments. The way Sawyer acts and thinks is perfect! Then we have Juliette who is his twin!! Loved that! These two together are combustible!

Overall this story rocks! It definitely will be going on my favorites list. Each of these is a stand alone but it’s best to listen to them in order. I did listen to this on audio. The narration is done very well.

☺️

This was a sweet story with lots of feels and a bit of cheesiness. I like that each story in the series is done so uniquely and so fitting for each character. And I love that each of the characters are in each of the books. It’s like visiting with your favorite family members in each story.

Beauty and the Bayou

“You must have gotten into trouble a lot.” He winked. “J’ai adoré chaque minute.”

Beauty and the Bayou is a fun opposites-attract romantic comedy about a grumpy boat captain and an overly safe woman determined to fix her brother's mistake.

Sawyer has been grumpy and overly safe ever since his buddy had a freak accident. His family has been giving him his space but they miss the old Sawyer. When he walks out to the docks and finds a woman standing on his dock in hip waders and a life jacket he is not sure what to do. Juliet has come to the Bayou to help rebuild the dock that her brother destroyed. As the first person in a long time to not be intimidated by Sawyer, she may just be the one to heal his broken heart.

The Boys of the Bayou continue to get better with every book. Sawyer and Juliet were the perfect pair. Little miss safety always attempted to be safe but every time she got close to Sawyer, she would still get hurt. As usual, the entire Landry crew is right there to meddle in everything. I truly love this family and with every book, I want to visit the bayou more and more.

Audio: Another amazing job by Gregory Salinas bringing grumpy Sawyer to life. This was my first experience with Ramona and I enjoyed her as Juliet.

Unique Chemistry

Definitely an unique chemistry between Juliet and Sawyer. I dig it. These two complemented each other well. I’m glad they found each other, because they made each other stronger and braver. With their past traumas, I wish therapy had at least been suggested. The fact that it wasn’t represented at all was disappointing. Both could have benefitted from it.

I loved how dynamic the main characters were. They had unique pasts that were well developed. Juliet’s bravery, despite her fears, was so admirable. Sawyer was quietly protective, without being overbearing like a lot of alpha heroes are. He was sexy too. I just wish we’d gotten to see more of his dominant side.
