Publisher's summary

Tinker Bell may long for companionship, but unpaired male fae are a rarity in Cairn Ocland. When her dearest friends become parents, Tink embarks on a journey to the fairy birthlands to meet the sprite born from the baby’s first laugh. Unfortunately, her adventure doesn’t go according to plan when poachers interrupt her mission.

Captain James Hook deserted the Eisland Navy 12 years ago to battle slavery on the high seas. As a pirate, he raids the ships of his former kingdom and their corrupt allies to the east while liberating them of ill-gotten goods. Rescuing a little fairy bound for the pet trade is an unexpected bonus.

Tink is everything James has ever desired in a woman - courageous, feisty, and loyal, but her diminutive size isn’t their largest obstacle. The Eisland Navy has a new weapon at its command, a mystery capable of demolishing a ship in a single blow. And the Jolly Roger is their next target.

Undertake a magical journey in Vivienne Savage's new romantic fantasy series loosely based on the lore of multiple fairy tales. Meet strong heroines supported by a cast of sexy heroes, intriguing friends, and devious villains.

Tink and Hook?

I honestly wasn't sure what to expect. Considering we know that Tink is a sprite (or tiny fairy) and James Hook is a full grown man (pretty big and tall man at that). But why should I doubt when Vivienne Savage's imagination is in charge. I have not been disappointed with any of the stories in this series so far. The story entirely worked. I'm curious as to how the next book will tie into the back story - as all of these books/characters are connected somehow.

Breathtakingly amazing

The fairytale retelling was breathtakingly amazing! Both the characters and the world of Belle and Captain Hook came alive from the first chapter. Every emotion came thru the narration and took me on a wondrous journey to the final happily ever after!

A whole new take on Peter Pan and Hook

This was probably the best way to hear about your childhood heros and to see a love connection between the two different ones!!

Plot was lacking

Yes, this is a romance book. If all you want is romance, this book would most definitely be recommended. The romance was beautiful and passionate, albeit completely stuff of fantasy even aside from it being a fairytale.

The plot, however, was lacking. The story wasn’t written to be a story, but rather to tell about this romance. I feel like the author didn’t really care about her side characters and only used them to try and flesh out the story, but as a result, they were shallow and lifeless.
The ‘problems’ the main characters faced aren’t addressed through the entire book really, but when they are addressed, they are easily and conveniently dealt with. ‘Loopholes’ must be Vivienne’s middle name, because her book is full of them...leaving me as a reader completely unsatisfied with the plot, and story, though the romance was enjoyable.

The narrator did a nice job and I enjoy his voice, though I noticed a couple of mess-ups or glitches in his reading where he’d repeat something or say a word wrong. He also seems to put a humorous/excited tone in some sentences that are by no means humorous or excited...so I’m not sure where that came from. But overall, he’s a nice voice to listen to and does amazing with accents.
