Publisher's summary

He’s been burned by commitment. She can’t seem to find the one. Will the Colorado mountains be their matchmaker?

Cam Blue can’t wait to spend the summer in solitude. After a grueling hockey season, all the sought-after defenseman wants is to retreat to his new ranch and unwind. But when heavy rains strand the guarded man with an attractive neighbor, he feels his frosty heart start to crack.

Terra White worries something is wrong with her. Used to guys who never commit, she’s frustrated when the hunky sports star stays determined to keep his distance despite their bond. And after their time together ends and both return home, she expects never to see him again.

As Cam struggles to date and move past his painful failed marriage, he remembers the ease of his new friendship and reaches out. And though their platonic relationship blossoms through text and late-night calls, Terra fears she’ll never be enough for Cam to cross the line over to love.

Will they put passion on ice, or can they skirt their defenses to find a happily ever after?

Besting the Blueliner is the eighth book in The Playmakers Series of award-winning sports romances. If you like relatable characters, slow-burn connections, and laugh-out-loud moments, then you’ll adore G.K. Brady’s sexy tale.

New Book Boyfriend

Besting The Blueliner is a steamy friends to lovers, grump/sunshine sports romance. I liked how easy and comfortable they were with each other right from the start. These characters were so good, I just loved when Terra and Cam finally got together. The way he treated her was so dreamy, I want a guy like that. Tor Thom and Amanda Stribling did a very good job bringing these characters to life. If you a chance read this series you won't be disappointed, plenty of book boyfriends HEA's.

So Many Changes

I was entertained by book eight of "The Playmakers Series" as much as the other books in the series. Cam wanted time alone, so he went to his newly purchased ranch. Terra White wanted time alone, so she traveled to her family's cabin. When a storm took out the power, Cam went to spend time at Terra's family's cabin since they had a generator. Cam's and Terra's love story rested on quicksand as they both had so many uncertainties and insecurities that needed to be faced before reaching solid ground. The characters were so sweet, and yet their misunderstandings added a touch of sadness too. Tor Thom's and Amanda Stribling's dual narrations were good, and their performances added to the story's entertainment. I was given a free copy of the audiobook by Home Cooked Books, and I have voluntarily posted this review which included my opinions.
